I would buy if Apple had realeased an Apple Keboard folio for it. I love the keyboard folio on my M2 iPad Pro: useful, portable, thin and light and easy to transform from typing to touch screen vs the Magic Keyboard
Logitech has one, that's what I use. Also lets you detach the keyboard entirely if you want to.

How about unlocking the hypervisor so UTM can use the full power for running the virtual machines Apple?

My compliments for this perfect copy of the official Apple press release, read out by Dan Barbera from the official sales and marketing channel Macrumors.
Precisesly what Apple told us already. Exept what Apple didnt tell us, that's a pitty. People are loosing a lot of confidence in the apple sales channel. A few very important points.
Unless your willing to pay uptill 3000-3500 euro, youre NOT getting a M4. But a M3 at best. Only the top models with 1 or 2 TB will get a M4. So ***** times faster you can forget when youre bying the cheaper models.
Ofcourse Macrumors know all this, so let's just say they "forgot" to mention it.

where have you seen this?

This is probably my biggest request, I want to be able to run a full desktop VM with all the power locally, *that* would get an instant upgrade from my 2020 air to a new m4 pro from me

What are you even talking about? Are you equating the slight core count difference from the base to the top as M3 vs M4? Wait until you find out about how mac upgrade tiers work in generation… (or, you know, CPU binning across the entire industry).

All the new pros are M4s, the higher end has more ram and an additional proc core, that’s it… they’re not “hiding” an M3 in the base model 🙄

But it can still do the same things as a M1 iPad.

The iPad Pro is a Ferrari engine in a Honda civic. The software takes no more advantage over all of this power then the iPad 10.9.

Can you run GarageBand and Final Cut Pro in Stage Manager on the iPad 10.9?

The new display and M4 chip seem really awesome, but at the same time, an iPad Pro costs the same as a MacBook Air, and that's probably a better device for a lot of people.

But on the other hand, the iPad Pro can play really popular games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail on the go, and that's more than I can say for the MacBook Air... maybe the iPad wins out in the end. :p

I think this is less true now than it used to be. Sure, for people who work on their laptops, it's a better choice. For day-to-day general personal computing, an iPad is sufficient.

You're not going to notice it in an Apple Store though. It's a difference you'd notice once there are enough resources on the RAM
Might be able to notice it if you open enough apps and switch between them, just in terms of general speed and lagginess or lack thereof. This is more pronounced on Macs, of course.

This will sell like hot cakes. Just like the AVP.
Amazing hardware, without a doubt, but too much (and unnecessary) for 90% of consumers looking to get an iPad.

I really am curious why they dropped the second camera lens. That seems like a backwards move on their part, so just don't get it. I am not sure it will ever affect me, so just curious.

I have honestly been trying to decide. The top model 15" MacBook Air is cheaper than the 12.9 M4 with magic keyboard and pencil pro which is what I have now with my M1 12.9. (Magic Keyboard and Pencil) I think I will keep my older iPad and get the MacBook next but still comparing.

ok, I've done it. I assume this is the video and for anyone else who's interested, it's from around minute 13.

But HiFifreak is wrong. The lower storage iPP models don't have an M3 chip, they have a different number of cores.
Or go here,
, where he explains very clear that what you get is not faster then a M3. Good luck, i alsoo have some other things to do, like work :)

Why not give the link originally?
where he explains very clear that what you get is not faster then a M3.
False. He said, as has already been pointed out here, that it has the lower cores. And he says, and I quote, "
so there's a chance that the nine core version of the M4 might not actually be that much faster than the the M3 in the MacBooks."

Let's compare that to your original claim:
Unless your willing to pay uptill 3000-3500 euro, youre NOT getting a M4. But a M3 at best. Only the top models with 1 or 2 TB will get a M4.

So, you were incorrect.
Good luck, i alsoo have some other things to do, like work :)

Ok? You posted in here voluntarily, and you were merely asked to provide some source for your claim.

If you dont mind i put my trust and believe more in people who know what theyre talking about and prove what they say with facts and tests, like f.e. iphonedo, who produce specified tests of products, instead of people who ocupie lots of fora to produce their “blabla” just because they cant stand any critisime about apple products. I wish you a great life!

Put your trust in who you like. Notice that I didn't say the guy was wrong. I said YOU have misunderstood what he said.

Believe me, I can make and accept criticisms of Apple. But only when they're legitimate.

It’s also an absurd claim both because the single core performance of the M4 seems to be substantially better than the M3 and because the appropriate comparison would be the base M3 in the macbook airs and pros (air is a better comparison than MBPs since it doesnt have active cooling) - those SoCs only have an 8 core CPU, so it should beat the M3 in both single and multicore use.

It also uses substantially less power so it wont throttle as easily or quickly.
