Just wait until Max will execute his plan, nope he won't swear in Dutch, he will be swearing in Limburgs. A whole new dictionary will open up for you :p

Has Adrian Newey been there long enough to make difference? Or will we have to wait another year for any noticeable results?

He's an aero guy so probably influenced some of that, along with staff from Red Bull that went to Aston Martin last season with their technical knolwedge. The only thing that could possibly slow that car down though is Lance Stroll.

I don't think Newey is officially there yet working on this car but i would imagine he's had a say, and aero parts are an easier to produce and evolving part of the package over a season anyway.

He’s not? When does he start officially? I can’t wait to see him staring at the rear of a Red Ball whilst his old team try to stop him making notes!

He's still employed by Red Bull until March 1st, I believe. The exact date of his departure is not entirely clear but Red Bull's web page states he'll be with the team until "early 2025". His first day with Aston Martin is supposedly March 3rd.

As noted, his official term does not start until next month and he will be primarily focused on the AMR26 for next year. Of course, he will no doubt be providing input on the AMR25, but per interviews with Team Principal Andy Cowell, the AMR25's aero profile is "effectively 100% new" with the focus on making the car more drivable overall and improving low-speed downforce generation. So I expect Adrian's input will mostly be on whether or not the AMR25 aero package is going down the right path or not.

Looking forward to this season, if only for the driver changes. Interested to see how Lewis goes in a Ferrari, Russell maybe leading the charge to Max. I still worry Lando doesn’t quite have the ability to poke his shoulders out to be tough to Max.
I’d like to see Lando put his relationship with Max on ice, he needs to be a lot more aggressive on track as I agree, he seems to lack that champion instinct at the moment and needs to toughen up. We just need the performance gaps to the teams to be tight, otherwise I fear Red Bull will have gotten it right for a fifth successive season. Piastri is perhaps Lando’s biggest threat though and I expect fireworks this year if Stella makes the wrong call too early.

I’d love to see Lewis do well at Ferrari, but also appreciate he’s now 40 years old and may have lost some of his edge which is natural. He’s still capable though if the circumstances are right and Ferrari need to be better under pressure than we’ve seen in recent years. Charles is very fast and for me lacks a bit of consistency. He’s made a lot of mistakes himself and hats off to him he’s admitted so. It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic there this year.

George for me is very fast but seems to crumble often in high pressure situations. I hope he’s worked on that over the winter as he’s another driver with a lot of potential. For me I want to see the Brits do well whatever. I don’t want to be booing Red Bull all year like the foreign press and Jos seem to be spinning it lol. God, how pathetic is that all becoming? Get a grip Jos.

Spinning? LOL Did you watch the F1 75 event? Have you seen that FIA is having to pick this up now. The Brits have been behaving not in a sportsmanlike manner at all on public PR events.

It's not a good look though other drivers like Lewis has been booed at more times than I can count, in Belgium, Hungary, Mexico, Abu Dhabi etc. It comes with being successful I guess. The one who got the most boos in London was Horner. Probably for other reasons though.

Yes, I don't think it is ever a good look. It is not great during a race, but this was a promotional event introducing the new season and celebrating the last 75 years. And what did Horner do to deserve that? And even the lady presenter got booed when introducing the FIA.

To me, the irony is strong, especially as that demographic of fans tried to take the moral high ground (beyond the rules) and bring in talk of sportsmanship when racing. It is what it is, a culture is difficult to change. But trumpesque comments about spin when it is a recorded veriviable reality are just hilarious. It is like some a creating their own version of reality, it is very popular these days.

Horner and the FIA recieved the most boo's but this is and always has been part of the sport. Lewis has been booed at regular points since the controversial 2007 Spanish test. The only person who seems to have an issue with it is Jos Verstappen. Even Max has said many times he doesn't mind it, much like Lewis has. In fact in the run up to Zandvoort in 2021 Max even stated that Lewis needs to prepare to be booed and it wasn't down to him to tell fans what to do. Lewis was heavily booed at that race and maybe some drivers and fans have thicker skins, because it didn't bother Lewis or anybody else, apart from comentators mentioning it. Maybe Jos needs to take a leaf out of Max and Lewis' book and just ignore it. I would imagine Max sort of expects it considering Red Bull are using the 'British Bias' propaganda to get the FIA on side, plus Max was poking fun at the British in Brazil last season. It goes both ways. Notice how although this is a 'British bias', no other foreign drivers were booed, and a man from Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, England, was also booed.... I rest my case 🤣

I bet he beats Charles on a regular basis this season.

Agreed on Charles and his consistent habit of being inconsistent. :)

I think Charles will improve alongside Lewis though, but he needs to take more risks with his own calls I think. It'll be a decent partnership I am sure as both have a lot of respect for each other, at the moment at least.

I want to see Carlos do well at Williams too and personally think he's the nicest chap on the grid. The guy is focused, doesn't take himself too seriously and has a lot of respect for the teams he's worked for. His comments leaving Ferrari were top notch and the footage of him at Williams with him getting to know the team impressed me a lot.

I prefer him to Lando as a person, a lot less cocky and has respect for past champions. Lando seems to have a bit of a chip about Lewis from some of his comments and I've never worked out why. It probably doesn't help walking into the McLaren Technology Centre and seeing him alongside Hakkinen, Senna, Prost, Lauda and Hunt in the foyer. There must be pressure to join the McLaren WDC club and I genuinely hope he does. Love Carlos though and he is a class act.

Mine is still Max, but then I'm rooting for Carlos as well :)

I'm with you. I'm expecting Carlos to be competitive. Max looked very comfortable in the RB21. Looked to me like Ferrari was sandbagging a bit, but who knows. Lewis still looks uncomfortable with the reincarnation of the F175.

The MCL39 is hard to look at on the track. I think it's going to be a competitive season, and the FIA will generate most of the headlines. ;)
