As an American I just wanna say I really enjoyed F1 without any American teams in it.

I'm not a haas fan by any stretch of the imagination and I can't foresee a time when I will be an Andretti/Cadillac fan either...

I do however like the idea of having 22 cars on the grid.

At least Cadillac will be a proper American team, Haas isn’t really American and much like the others who just operate with foreign branding/funding but are based in England. I think it’ll be interesting to see how they adapt and cope with the development race whilst thousands of miles away from the grid and local tests.

Hopefully much better than Michael did back in '93 .... bwah ha ha ha...

I'm not sure about proper. I can't imagine Ferrari, Mercedes, or McLaren using Dealership Signage in their announcement. ;)

It probably has nothing to do with it, but American dealers have played a major role in forming racing in the States. Less so these days, but historically dealers would make their own custom variants of performance cars that would end up being used in racing. A lot of racers also funded their careers by owning dealerships. It's a bit more of a grassroots past than the top-down tradition in Europe.

That's a pretty substantial reach into the past though...... ;)

F1 TV launched a new premium tier for Apple TV and Roku devices that provides 4K HDR streams.

As an ATV owner, this is a no-brainer for me. If you are a current F1TV Pro subscriber, there is a 15% discount code available - "F1TVPremium2025"

Unfortunately its only delayed race coverage in the UK, due to Sky F1 blocking it being available here. The delayed package is a really good deal at £2.29 a month, but Channel 4 highlights are free and good enough for me. I only tend to watch the one live race a season which is Silverstone where I make an special effort. I remember many years ago before having kids and I was a real fan, I'd watch live with live timing on a laptop whilst my wife called me the saddest person on the planet lol. There is still the hooky firestick option, but in all honesty I just don't get the time on a Sunday to take 2-3 hours to watch races. Nice deal though for those who have the option.

Some serious air management going on at McLaren. No wonder the Front Brakes were covered during testing………

90 minutes to FP1.

Watching the Warm-Up and loving the 4K HDR treatment.
wow

I'd say practice 1 times, with the exception of the HAAS cars, were somewhat misleading.

Practice 2 was more realistic.

Sorry Carlos... :{

Pleasant P2 surprise: Tsunoda and Hadjar in the top 10

OOPS! I meant:

FORMULA 1 LOUIS VUITTON AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2025 - Practice 3

Race weekend!

I feel like we are exactly where we finished 2024. McLaren fastest with a front row lock out. Max adding a couple of 10ths to where the RBR should be.
George and the Ferraris best of the rest.

Rain forecast for tomorrow. You’d expect Max to benefit from that. Possibly Lewis as well.

None of the rookies had a great day. Not sure how rain will suit them.

If it's really wet I expect at least 3 will crash and 1 will have an unexpectedly high finish. But which of the 6 I couldn't guess.

Nice to see Williams display their hard work off season as well.

How long before Lawson is replaced ? lol

He had a PSU issue on his initial out lap that parked him for the session, but then he totally stuffed up qualifying, so...

Still, better than Bearman who crashed in FP1 and FP3, causing him to miss FP2 and then had his gearbox pack up on his initial out lap in qualifying. So he is likely going nowhere tomorrow - both figuratively and literally.
