Looks nice! Would love to see an option to order by name for example, but nice one!

If you download the AppRaven app there are filter options such as 'Title' although the filter options could use further improvements and the developer also said he will add that.

One I couldn’t find in your list but has updated widgets is Post-it
Fun little app for digital post-its

Thanks I've added it to the list now which already has 202 apps in it now :)

I like the Weather Channel widget. Gives you current temp and conditions + hourly/daily forecast. I like that you can get all that in the medium sized widget. What would be nice is if you could customize and replace rain chance with wind or something else like humidity/dew point.

The weather network has a widget now. And I tweeted an asked Transit when they’d come out with one and they replied and said their working on it.

Yes, there was only about 24 hours between the GM release and the GA release... but the developers certainly had more than 24 hours to design, code and test widgets - that was the real purpose of the THREE PLUS months of the developer previews... all that was really necessary to release the apps with widgets was for the developers to recompile their code with the GM version of Xcode and get the apps to Apple for review.

Fair enough, but Apple themselves traditionally have issues with getting their own apps working properly with a new OS release, so what chance do 3rd Party have, especially with a totally new feature? For Apple. And - one assumes - Apple knows what is going on behind the scenes. Yes, Developer Betas have been going out for months, but hey, they released the Developer 14.2 Beta 24 hours after 14 - so it's ongoing project of keeping up with Apple's needs and whims. As for '...all that was really necessary to release the apps with widgets was for the developers to recompile their code with the GM version of Xcode and get the apps to Apple for review..' well, that's hardly anything, is it? Especially when the OS is a constantly moving target. ?

Widget smith want $32.99 a year ????

Tell them they’re dreaming ?????

I think this push for subscription widgets is insane. Some developers are asking for a separate purchase of each widget type or design pack. Bad enough when it is for a "free" app, but some paid apps are requiring a subscription on top of the initial cost. Ridiculous. Especially as some of these widgets will be replaced frequently as new ones come out with better designs.

What do you mean another nail? Fantastical 3 is already a subscription. Do you work for free?

Paid for their app suite last year bud! Was pricey too! Then they went subscription. Go read their App Store review and the 2.8 rating, I’m not alone in abandoning that company.....

And no I don’t work for free, and I don’t f$&: over my customer base with subscription models

Spot on, widgets get released and developers think they can charge ridiculous prices for them. ?‍♂️

I can see a epic vs apple lawsuit coming up over widgets ?

If the app is going to be supported for a long time, and they charge a reasonable price for the widgets, like a one off $1 or yearly $5 payment people will get on board, don’t go charging customers stupid prices for each widget or a crazy yearly sum.

What makes it worse you’re paying for a widget which isn’t even interactive.

I paid for version 2 as well and I know all about how they handled the transition. It should have been handled a lot better. To me, that is water under the bridge, as they have honored their word about adding new features and providing quick updates. I also like that I can add events from my watch and it syncs across all my devices. I like being able to add sports and tv calendars to Fantastical and it easily shows up on my daily calendar.

If Fantastical starts getting lazy or increases their subscription price, I will look elsewhere. From what I have seen, they are the best integrated calendar app. It may not be for everyone at that price but, for $3 a month, it works for me. I don’t mind paying developers for their work.

I’ve tried them all and no one comes close to Fantastical. Waiting for their update to include widget(s).

I’m not into all this widget hype. I have an Apple Watch for the quick glance info I want. I only have the small Smart Stack that flips through calendar and weather. Hopefully this widget thing evolves more in terms of interaction within the widget itself, that would help me gravitate towards utilizing them more.

Widget smith want $32.99 a year 😂😂😂😂

First of all, you should probably work on your math skills. The Widgetsmith Premium monthly subscription is $1.99 (x12 = $23.88), NOT $32.99... and they offer an annual rate of $19.99...

but beyond that, wow. Just say "no" to subscription software and SHOUT "NO" at grossly overpriced subscription widgets.

I got the weather channel widget but it’s just blank. Anybody else get it to work?
Edit: reboot fixed it but IMO the widget looks a bit to much like apples weather widget. The medium size one doesn’t show current temp unles you open it. Kind of meh and not planning on using it especially when opened the adds pour forth. Another subscription to get rid of adds, $5/mo. Pass , what ever happened to being able to pay a one time fee to purchase a pro version of an app.

I'm missing the option in all the currently released iOS14 weather widgets (Forecast Bar, Carrot Weather, Weather Channel, The Weather Network) to show both percentage and amount of precipitation per hour and per day and a minute by minute in one view. I'm a big fan of Forecast Bar which does have a widget that can change from hourly to daily view and into precipitation view (when it will start raining soon) and has some options to change in the widget when you long press on it (but not what you are asking here) but I would rather see all three in one widget. You can ofcourse have separate widgets installed but that takes up so much space on either homescreen or widget area (NC).

The way Partly Sunny currently does is the best I think but that only has Dark Sky as weather source and hasn't been updated for iOS14 yet so is only available in Notification Center as a widget (besides being an app). Other detailed widgets/apps out there that I also hope to see become available with an iOS14 homescreen widget are BeWeather3 (still also only Dark Sky as weather source) and Hello Weather which all have lost of options to customize currently but I do wonder if they can still offer these with iOS14 homescreen or if this can no longer be done since the original NC widget were more customizable I think (less Apple restrictions).

If it's a subscription, it's gone. Just like kneeling in football. Price per, assuming I'll do that
