Carrier 7/7+ O2 UK Pre-order thread

Well DPD deliver Saturdays, they also let you pay £5 for a Saturday Delivery if the shipping company hasn't. I was hoping to get it tomorrow as Im at work on Monday!

It also allows me to change the date for delivery, and the first date it offers is Sunday!
 
Right, Just off the phone to DPD after trying to ensure my phone came over the weekend and what they have told me is in complete contradiction to what O2 have said!
The guy told me that all they have received from O2 is the notes for the package. He found it really strange that the package hadn't been scanned yet, so cross checked on other systems and spoke to his supervisor.
He told me that DPD have finished there collections for the day and have not scanned my phone so it will not becoming tomorrow. I asked if they would pick it up tomorrow and he said no, the next time the collect is Monday which means my phone won't come till Tuesday at the earliest!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I am now beginning to think that O2 have only allocated tracking numbers and do not even have the phones yet!
This has just been more lies from O2! Not happy with them at all with this!:mad:

In this case it'll be Monday. Ignore them lol.

I wish I have your confidence! O2 have been a complete shambles this year!
It doesn't help they appear to be encouraging there live chat agents to Lie! Tonight, Ive had one telling me its definitely coming tomorrow, one saying maybe tomorrow but definitely Sunday!!!

Lol... We need a crystal ball. Where are you from? I'm guessing our phones are in the same batch at the moment?

I'm in Scotland, near Edinburgh, Leeds is only a 4 hour drive away! :)
Looks like it! I can't believe how badly O2 have handled this!

Holy crap, I'm only about an hour away-ish, meh can't expect them to have perfect communication with their logistics company? Did you talk to the people on the web chat? They're really useless. I'd avoid them.

Add the waiting time for being at the back of the queue and if you want a black 7+ it might be Christmas.

Don't forget where that leaves you in the line for next years phone either - a year from when you getting this years one.

Seems like a programme designed to annoy the exact type of customer they are trying to build loyalty with.

And O2 make an extra 1 to 2 months of payments for your previous phone. How are they compensating for that? The contract promised a new handset in 12 months time. Not 13 or14 which in money terms is some £60+ they get from you. Had I known earlier that they will not fulfill their end of the bargain I would have sold my phone and paid off the current difference before they began accepting orders from new customers. I am livid how little they value our loyalty!
 
So my tracking number is now showing on DPD. It's in leeds and the collection date is empty. So I imagine it's allocated for collection but not happening yet since it's planned for Monday.

I realised my refresh date (25th Sep) was after the launch, so did exactly that. I sold for enough to pay the last phone off and joined the queue last Friday.

For people on the plan next year it will be even worse because their 12 month period will be from when they receive their new phone, which in some cases could be November of December. Thats a long way from the next iPhone launch which will most likely be in September 2017.

The O2 annual upgrade deal isnt worth having - its a disadvantage.
 
Mine was dispatched yesterday and arrived in the local depot at 6am. Estimated delivery is Monday sadly :(
 
Well mine still hasn't arrived at the Edinburgh depot!
How long does it take?
Still says estimated delivery today though so I'll keep my fingers crossed it updates soon!
