I did following:

1. Updated to the latest security update for high sierra
2. Reset pram and smc

It was ok after the reboot and a couple of wake ups, then suddenly it stopped working again.

That´s odd. I have it in two macbooks 17", one with Mojave and the other one with High Sierra. You should install a clean High Sierra in an external drive and see it works ok. If it does it, you will know there´s something wrong in your configuration. If not, it´s hardware.

Did you have CAT installed?

If anyone use windows 7 in bootcamp, i have the drivers for wifi and blutooth, if anyone need them.

I guess what im asking is did you get it working on a mid 2012 md101ll/a or the A1278 as its known

It's not possible if it's older than Early 2011. The topology for the connections is entirely different and is housed in the display.

I’m confused there are people on this thread saying it works on a 2012 MacBook Pro not trying to be an ******* just don’t understand

I'm sorry to confuse you, it won't work on A1278s that are before Early 2011, only Early 2011 through Mid 2012.

Just for your information, the module works great on windows 10. I would say than even better than in macOS.

Just wondering if anyone else purchased with international postage?

I purchased mine with 'USPS First Class Uninsured' option, and in tracking it hasn't moved since the 6th of January when it was 'In Transit to Next Facility'. Was wondering if anyone else had received theirs with this shipping yet? I'm starting to get a bit nervous.

All international orders use that shipping method, it is not uncommon for it to take 3-4 weeks at times; it can vary wildly :(

150 is a lot to spend on a network card for a almost 10yr old laptop was just trying to figure out if it did work and I guess I’ll have to figure out if it’s worth it to me to get one. But either way thanks for answering my question and supporting the community

I'm relieved to hear that, Yes I don't mind the wait but was nervous it had gone missing!
Yes, don´t worry. Mine took almost 3 weeks to arrive.

Exactly!! My 2012 MacBook Pro 13 inch is also a much much better value proposition than a new one. I’d have to get a 16 inch to get a reliable keyboard, and to match my 2TB of SSD it would be $5000 which is RIDICLOUS! And even then, I’m pushing the limits of 16GB of ram and have filled 2TB of SSD so I’d probably want to go to the next level for both 32GB of ram and 4TB SSD - which pushes the price to $6600.

If you don’t mind me asking, where abouts in the world are you?

I’m up to 3 weeks and 4 days since I ordered mine so probably still not to worry yet.

I’d have to get a 16...
I GOT a 16 inches and returned it to Apple. I keep prefering my 17 mate screen, and really can´t bear the plethora of adapters for thunderbolt 3. It´s ridiculous. For heavy duties I have my Mac Pro.

And with this new module from @troop231 , has everything an actual apple laptop has.

I have "normal" USB Ports, Thunderbolt, ethernet, Firewire, etc, even an Expresscard port where I have USB 3.0, or an ESATA card, it depends. For me, best Apple laptop ever.

I live in Spain. And I have been looking again. As I told, almost a month. You should receiver it very soon. Don´t worry.-
