Switch user can cause issue. In fact, most Handoff function may become single direction after users switching.
Interesting. I can see how changing users could disrupt a badly thought out auto login process, but in Apple's latest and greatest Mac OS? Who'd have thought.
I just restarted and have only logged in as myself again. Have to see how that goes. Will it be working again.
I have to say, Watch Unlock is not as useful as I thought it would be. You still have to enter the password when first logging in after a restart and I have found that to also be the case after a long time has passed. I don't mean eons, but if my MacBook Pro is unused for several days, it tells me I need to "enter the password so I can use Watch Unlock". Anyone else see the absurdity of the wording of that actual instruction even if its intention is clear.
It seems Apple have not taken far enough the whole concept of local security controlled by the Watch. I would like the Mac to know that I am sitting there at my desk, or at least in the same room and in which case to NOT lock itself. I find it monumentally stupid that I am forced to keep repeatedly entering passwords to unlock stuff that should not have been locked. I don't lock my briefcase every time I go into another room in my house for more than 10 minutes, and then have to fumble around to find the key to open it again, just for the few minutes I might need it. Then to lock it again while I work on something the other side of the same room. Only to then have to find the key and unlock it again when I need to look at something inside it. This would be utterly stupid. Yet we accept this sort of carry on with our computerised devices. Well, I don't accept it. Just get irritated at the constant entering of passwords in order to continue with what I am doing. Where's Artificial Intelligence when you need it. Seems to me that the Mac and its OS should by now be smart enough to know where I am and be able to act accordingly, in the way I want it to and not force me to adopt irritating security and privacy measures that are NOT appropriate where the devices are being used.
Anyway, I'll be interested to see if Watch Unlock is now functional again.
