I was a bit disappointed with no 3D Touch, still 264ppi, no 2nd gen Touch ID. So I will stick with the 9.7 Pro.

Also interested to see how existing unoptimised apps will look on the 10.5" screen. (Black bars or stretched)

IOS 11 however is a whole different story!

10.5 comes with fast charge which is good

Will be interesting to see if the included charger is a fast-charge version though......my bet would be that it's the same as the current one and the fast-charge one will be an "accessory".....hope not though!!

Yeah that could be the case :(
[doublepost=1496695169][/doublepost]I will not be buying it yet because of not knowing if apps will fit on the screen properly or not. If I can get confirmation they do look fine then I will get the 512 GB version for all my media!

Probably going to order a 10.5 256 Space Grey when ordering becomes available at Target. Coming off a 3rd Gen iPad and a 1st Gen iPad Air, it's time.

Have a bunch of credit saved up at Target, and I'll be at E3 all next week anyway, so I can wait a bit.

Not unless I can get a good deal. Last August sold my iPad Air 2 for $150 and from Best Buy I got a 32GB iPad Pro 9.7 for $375 and the Apple Pencil for $90 from Amazon. Overall great products except for battery life.

I was just about to order the 10.5" and than I saw it has only Bluetooth 4.2. WTF Apple?
No buy for me.

I just impulse purchased the iPad 2 Pro 10" thinking it was only the screen size got bigger but when you compare the pro to the iPad 2017 it's just that little bit bigger. I've just purchased a Zagg keyboard costing over £80 urghhhh

The new iPad Pro won't fit in the case

Agreed. I was really looking for a higher res display as thats my only real "gripe" with the current 9.7 pro. 3D touch would have been nice as well. 120hz is nice, but I think I'm going to wait for the next big update.

The spec bump looks great but most of the apps that I use don't come close to utilizing the full power of my current iPad Pro. I'll upgrade once the apps catch up to the hardware potential.

What's up with the $200 price jump from 256gb to 512? Oh Apple...
Huh, didn't even realize that.

Iirc, pricing as of March 2016 was as follows:

9.7 Wi-Fi/LTE
32GB $599/$729
128GB $749/$879
256GB $899/$1029

12.9 Wi-Fi/LTE
32GB $799/$929
128GB $949/$1079
256GB $1099/$1229

Was considering the 256GB model back then and will be buying 512GB model now so pricing is pretty much the same for me. :)

That said, yikes, the multi-tasking on iOS 11 will probably be hard on the Air 2. Guessing Air likely wouldn't even support the new features.

Do I want a 10.5" Pro? Yes. Yes, I do. Am I buying one? No, and it's for two reasons:

1. My 9.7" iPad Pro is only a year old and still serving me VERY well. While the 10.5" model will have some upgrades that I will not have on the 9.7" (naturally), iOS 11 will make it feel like a new machine anyway. I already use it like a full blown computer, drawing pad, notebook, recording studio, and content consumption device. The new updates will make all of those things all that much better--99% of my software wish list items got checked off today.

2. If I have any hope of my wife letting me buy a HomePod, it's probably best that I don't buy a second new iPad Pro in as many years.

Already put my iPad Pro 9.7 128GB WiFi (With Smart Keyboard) on Craigslist..so hopefully someone will buy it from me(So far only one response and it was a scam smelled it right away) so am patient..would love to get the 10.5 inch one 256 looks really cool and IOS 11 on it will look amazing

I love my 9.7 iPP to death and have the Smart Keyboard and pencil. I am beyond annoyed that the 10.5 requires a new Smart Keyboard. I need to do an inventory of the upgrades on the 10.5 and decide if it's worth it. If I do pull the trigger on this purchase, I am going for the Logitech Slim Combo for $129 vs another Smart Keyboard with no back coverage.
