I like the dot so much that I've bought 2 AW3s, one for each arm.
Heh...I'm thinking I'll get one for the opposite reason...I'm notorious for forgetting my phone. Really wish they would have done a notification for leaving your phone behind. (Nope, no-one's done an app that works worth a damn).Think ill hold on to my SS Space Black Series 0 for another year. Still have WOS4, and i never leave my phone at home, so...
When I was a teenager, I brought my vegetarian girlfriend home for dinner with the family. My mother offered her a chicken caesar salad, and when she said, "I don't eat meat," my mother replied, "Oh, it's just a little meat."With all the people walking around wearing the most electric, vibrant shoe color combos on the planet, I am surprised that anyone would really care about a single, red dot on a phone.

When I spend hundreds of dollars on a Space Black watch, I don't want "just a little red".
Coasting, thats what they're doing.Between this red dot and the terrible ears on the iPhone X I am not sure what the design team is doing anymore...
Honestly, as much as Apple says that they value our privacy, I think the red dot was put there for spotting the new AW3's out in the wild. Kinda like you wearing a browser cookie around your neck.
I think it looks great on a stainless steel w/ white sport band and the ceramic version. I can certainly see some people upset that it clashes with some band combinations.
Agree.Love the red dot!
Agree.
I personally like the red dot.
I remember back then I wanted the red dot in my watch. I wanted the gold edition with red leather band and red dot when I first saw it. Lol, I had no idea it was going to be a real gold case and cost so much. I thought it would be just a gold color like my Seiko. I'm neutral on the dot now, but think it will look nice on the silver and white Nike model I picked out.It reminds me of the original AW that Tim Cook was wearing. SS. White Sport Band. Red dot.
It's part of why those places that sell dots to stick on were selling them.

Same employee who thinks AirPods look good???Yes, it's hideous "design" and whoever signed off on it as the solution to visible product differentiation, ought to be animated as a poo emoji, stripped of his knighthood and sent economy class back to the UK.
Well, bunnicula, i'm not surprised you like the white with red dots given your photo.Agreed. I got the SS with WSB and I think it'll look nice. I really don't have any bands that will be awful with the red dot. I mean, white, black, brown, tan... mine are mostly all some variation on those colors....Milanese... the Pride band... a red band... I think the only one I have that might clash a little is the lilac sport band, but really? Just not a big deal. At all.
I'm not a fan, but "hideous monstrosity"? That's quite a term that should probably be reserved for presidential administrations and mothers-in-law.

I really like it, adds a bit of je ne sais quoi.
I'd have to see it in person first.
I like the black dot on my SS, red - maybe it's a little loud..
