Airpods At Walmart, BB, Walmart, Etc..?

I was resigned to waiting weeks and weeks for my AirPods ordered from Apple.com (January 12) and BestBuy.com (February 7). And then these six fine human beings posted to this forum...

...mentioning that we might want to order our AirPods from Verizon. And then BOOM! One hour after ordering through Verizon.com I got a FedEx tracking number showing that my AirPods will arrive at my front door tomorrow by 3:00p. To these six forum members, thank you, thank you, thank you! You all saved me (and many others on this forum, I suspect) weeks of waiting and fretting.

I offer to the six of you a deep bow of gratitude. Whatever holiday or special occasion you celebrate this month, I wish you the best and my sincere thanks for the unbelievably helpful tip.

I ordered this morning at 07:30CST and they've always said "Ships by 2/07."

I decided to go ahead and order from BB due to them saying "order today to secure yours."

Makes it sound like there's a chance for them to come sooner rather than later whereas Apple is proabably spot on about "shipping in 6 weeks."

Should be ok then, my order was just in the initial stage but with only the delivery date changing bumping it from January to tomorrow. Afterwards info changed showing it had processed and shipped.

Called BB today and despite my order not being shown anywhere they're still supposed to be delivered Thursday. Apparently BB has a D.C. In OK so I suppose since so close and it supposed to arrive until Thursday is why they haven't shipped them yet

You did not get an order # starting with BBY? You should have gotten an email confirmation from BB.

Something fishy, how was whomever you spoke to able to track your order? Was your CC charged?

I have received zero correspondence from BB regarding my order. I used Apple Pay using BB app for what it's worth. Whoever I spoke with on phone found my order and said not to worry, it would be delivered Thursday and that since it was shipping within Oklahoma it probably wouldn't have to ship until tonight/early tomorrow to make it here for delivery Thursday.

Charge hit my CC immediately. CS rep said it was perfectly normal to not get any email etc until it shipped. Certainly not what I've experienced previously using BB however. I call automated thing and it recognizes my phone number and says order is being prepared. im personally worried sick they won't be here but lady assured me they would be
 
My order just went from "backordered" to "in progress." Specifically, it says "preparing" which sounds exciting but I'm not getting my hopes up. (Bar shows processing>preparing>shipped>completed)

I just now got my tracking info/a email. Mine *should* be here Thursday despite disaster I describe above.

My tracking info shows an origin scan in Oklahoma City for Thursday delivery. I wouldn't be surprised if you got it tomorrow.

Confirmed, Verizon Wireless does have Airpods and are in stock, I got free 2-day shipping. They shipped out today and will have them by Thursday! Only got 1 pair though..
