Thanks for all the 'loving for an extended period of time' posts. I'll take the plunge; I'm thinking blue. Thanks for the positive feedback!

Got mine this week and have been loving them so far ! Of course, sound wise, they sound better than the APP I also have (since they have been out, love them too, but regarding quality of sound and ANC, APM are just the best)

My onmy « issue », finding a case. My favorite one would be the Waterfield, but getting them to Europe adds 45% to the original price. I tried the co2crea, but the magnets that are supposed to put the headphone in low powet was not doing anything. Looked like they were not properly sized. I tried another one from Amazon, some cheap one… anyway, if you have any idea on the case side, I’ll be very happy to her them ;)

Do it. I’ve had mine since launch and I absolutely love them. I use them every single day.
Same here. Great for Zoom work, which is my main use. Or music while I work. but the other day I tried them for the first time with Apple TV while some one was working in the same room: great experience.

Couple of thoughts from me and my experiences with them:

  • I find the pads a bit scratchy, I wish there was a leather option. I don't seem to find any aftermarket ones either.
  • Sound is very good
  • Function across Apple devices is great (and likely why I will keep them)
  • NC isn't as good as my XM3/XM4's. I just can't seem to get a great seal on my ears with them. This may have to do with the shape of my head.
  • Having to use the bra case to get them to fall asleep is dumb and a bad decision.

I'll likely never travel with them again, but I do really like them at home.

I also loved the Waterfield case, but, like you, getting them would add taxes (60% here) and I also didn’t like that there’s no layer between the headphones and the zip, so it could get scratched (unlikely, but it’s possible) and for me that’s unacceptable in a $100 case.

This is the case I have and I think it’s great. I’ve got no complains about it and the magnets work as intended.

You can find faux leather ones on Amazon. They work pretty well and I like it more than the stock ones. Leather would be even better but there aren't any yet.

I have had mine for almost a year now. Bought the Silver ones as that was available and space gray was months backorder.
Really have probably used them less than 2 weeks if you count as 24 hr use.
Afraid to take out of the house for dirtying the White, love the sound with Apple devices and playing PS5 and Xbox.
Downloaded the Atmos app for the Series X and playing Halo: Infinite is exceptionally good, makes hear those log pings easier to
tell what direction it’s coming from, plus the dialogue of the enemies.
Anyone want to trade a Space gray or I might just try to sell them and buy a Space gray now

Got a brand new Space Gray for only 300USD. They sound okay - not worth the nearly 600 MSRP. For my tastes the 'Electronic' or 'Hip Hop' EQ sounds better to my ears than the out-of-the-box-eq but I haven't used them much yet.
My pair also have little factory scratches. Didn't really appreciate that no instructions were included and Apple's website has far more information about using them/features.

how could they be brand new with scratches? mind sharing where from?

on eq, i tried tuning bass heavy powerbeats pros to show mids better and honestly you should just get another hp if the default eq isnt your cup of tea.

Might have got a fake if there are scratches on a new product at half price.

Real easy to wash the earcups and headband.
Black won’t get any less dirtier than white, it will show it less. If you don’t clean your headphones that’s eww

They have tiny dings right where the band connects to the cups. I'll update this post eventually with the tiny dings.

Got a pair of AirPods Max arriving tomorrow, curious as to how you connect them to the Series X and Ps5, are you using a bluetooth dongle or are you hard wiring them into the 3.5 jack on the controller?

Looking to use them to play Halo Infinite too along with the atmos app :)

Cheers all

I’m using the Apple cable and plug to the controller. Advice go ahead and buy that as not any old 3.5mm to lightning cable will work, Apple made theirs proprietary afaik, nothing else I tried works.
There’s a thread somewhere about that. Pretty sure you would need a dongle to use wireless.

You won’t be able to use the APM mic as far as I know, you could use the built in controller mic though.
Thanks for the info, that won't be a problem at all.

Got the APM arriving in the morning if the post is on time, looking forward to Atmos in the headphones while gaming & also using them with my Apple TV when watching movies etc.

Plus listening to Apple Music too.

Currently 3d printing a stand for them :)

Cheers All

Well guys the APM's arrived today blown away with the sound & build quality, got them all working on the Xbox Series X & PS5 (yes I love my toys) with that £35 cable.

I will be watching some stuff on my Apple TV 4K later on tonight too, can't believe when I am listening to music the extra sounds that I was missing before.

One happy customer here :)

Cheers all

I got some space grey ones a few days ago and I really like them so far. I find them very comfortable and the sound quality is surprisingly good. I have a number of headphones and speakers ranging from fairly high end such as the KEF LS50 Wireless to medium end such as the Sonos Five and stereo Sonos Ones and pretty good entry level wired headphones such as the Sennheiser HD58x, so I do know what good sound quality is. I also have both the Bose QC35iis and the Sony WH-1000XM3s and the Airpods Max are better than both those headphones. I actually find them more comfortable on my ears though they are heavier so they may cause a little bit of neck strain. The clamping force is fine for me. Their audio quality is better, spatial audio is nice because it seems to expand the sound stage and I love how they sync with all my Apple devices. I think they’re worth it for Apple people.
