Does anyone know whether this is how Apple ships them?

It probably is. Apple’s shipping boxes are always pretty compact and seem to be designed for the specific product, plus the little tear away area on the tape with the arrow is typical of their packaging.

I just got a HomePod mini from Apple and the shipping box was definitely custom designed specifically for it. Had the same tear away arrow in the center and it peeled away a strip of cardboard across the center of the box all the way around, so you pulled the ton of the box off the product and pulled the product out of the remaining half. Really nice touch.

Anyone suffering from battery issues? Unlikely to be any correlation to where they were bought.. but just curious where you got them. I got mine from Target. Any FYI Target's return policy seems better.. mine was 3+ weeks instead of 2.

I’m in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ordered space grey AirPods Max from Apple online on 18th Jan (Monday), with original delivery estimate of 4-5 weeks (19Feb-25Feb). Received notification it shipped out from Singapore on Wednesday and my AirPods Max arrived this morning (Friday 22nd).

I'm jealous - I ordered 2 days ago and I'm waiting for them to arrive....it still shows the February ship date....we will see who wins - Amazon or Crutchfield (due to ship out Jan 29th).....I was hoping for a surprise email this morning. They are beautiful - congrats!

S. Ontario Apple Stores got a massive restock of silver & sg today. Hopefully this is a sign.

Next province over got some blue & green (lucky buggers). Great day for a mini road trip, if we weren’t under stay-at-home orders. 😔

At this point I'm resigned to expecting them Feb 25. Any sooner and I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I guess I should bring my apple shipping expectations back down to earth.

The only other product I can remember being this convoluted was their braided loop bands. At least those were consistent in that almost no stock went to stores period. If you wanted it you had to get in line, online.

I still think we’ll get it before our window, but clearly it won’t be a ‘wow’ moment anymore.

Even original Apple Watch shipping dates were not this crazy! Blows my mind - even though small sample sizes here - how other store/retailers are getting stock before Apple's site in the United States. Still keeping the hope alive!

Thanks for the heads up on Amazon. I have an SG order at Apple for end of Feb delivery (also had Crutchfield, but canceled when their delivery date changed to unknown). When I went to order at Amazon it was showing end of Feb also, but figured I would place the order just in case.

A few hours later I got an update that they will be arriving Monday! Fingers crossed, but I'm optimistic.

I’m waiting to hear that my sky blue that say end of February from Amazon will be moved to Monday since I could buy some right now and get a Monday delivery. I also went ahead and cancelled my Crutchfield order too.....I’m eagerly waiting to get the updated shipping email too....

It hasn’t changed yet? I ”preordered” some about 12 hours ago with a February 25 date, and about 3 hours ago my card was charged... checked my email and sure enough, date has been bumped to Jan 25 - Jan 26. (Not to mention they *still* show as in Stock right now. Crazy.)

Yeah so I said screw it and cancelled the other order and re-ordered them and now it says Monday.... geez! But at least they should arrive Monday - finally!

Yeah I’ve been watching and they have been in All day and now have a Monday delivery....they must have gotten in a big shipment of sky blue. The silver and space gray have been available on/off for most of the day too.....

 ships them in the same carton. I received mine from Target in the same shipping carton.

Curry’s in the U.K currently have silver in stock. Argos has removed the Airpods Max in every colour from their website. It is a nightmare trying to get them in the U.K still. I know Apple is shipping Space Grey quickly and John Lewis sometimes has silver or space grey for brief periods and they sell fast. I want to get them from Amazon, Argos or Curry’s as I have gift cards to use or I get a discount from EE. Hopefully I will get a space grey or blue pair eventually.

From what I'm seeing John Lewis have stock of space grey & silver in the evening (between 9pm & 10pm), which sell fast.

Getting these things from Currys / Argos is pretty much impossible, not seen either have any stock yet.
