A few posts have made this observation, but I listen to my APM at half or less volume. It was accidentally on high volume once when I was getting used to the headset, and found the top setting uncomfortable. I would be worried about worsening my noise-induced hearing loss/tinnitus listening to mine at high volume. I wonder if different units vary in maximum volume for some reason?I got the Space Grey, as I was impatient to wait for the blue ones. I like the sound quality, although I wish they were a bit louder.
I like my music loud but I can’t play my AirPods Max at maximum volume as it’s just far too loud.A few posts have made this observation, but I listen to my APM at half or less volume. I read many posts stating this too, I'm 34 and from being in band in High School & College/a rock band/enjoying loud music for years, I'm sure I have a bit of hearing loss, and I didn't feel like they were not loud enough at all. Below 50% I think they're kind of quiet, but they start to "wake up" around 60-70% but above that I feel like they're pretty darn loud and I can't listen to them at that volume for long.I like my music loud but I can’t play my AirPods Max at maximum volume as it’s just far too loud.
Yea I think they are temporarily suspended due to weather. I have a return that I shipped back to apple via Fedex, I sent it out on Saturday and it's been stuck in Memphis, TN since Sunday. Normally if I ship something out on Saturday, it gets to Memphis, TN on Sunday and does move on Sunday afternoons. But every day I get the Fedex service alert. I really hope sometime tomorrow or next week they will start moving. I'm sure they have back logs of all package. I will phone Apple next week to let them know what's going on since it's a return product. I have the receipt of when I dropped it off with tracking number.Alas, my blue APM have been stuck in Memphis (at FedEx hub) for the last two days. This nasty weather is really wreaking havoc. Anyone else in the same boat?
Oh wow! Congrats!!!! Ordered mine with engraved last Jan 31, est Mar 31, fingers crossed...My blue APM has been shipped! Only ordered 11 days ago (UK) so this is awesome! 😊
Fingers crossed for you! Are you waiting on blue too? I wonder if the stock has just come in and so yours might just take an extra day or two for the engraving.Oh wow! Congrats!!!! Ordered mine with engraved last Jan 31, est Mar 31, fingers crossed...
gg lol 😅My blue APM has been shipped! Only ordered 11 days ago (UK) so this is awesome! 😊

Congrats! Apple's been kind to the UK. First it was SG, now blue seems to be making that leap as well. Enjoy it when it arrives. 😁
I can only hope mine is hanging out in memphis (or somewhere else states-side) waiting to come north. That was one heck of a snowstorm down there.
And, more importantly, there is still no indication when things will finally start moving. FedEx could certainly do better at communicating, if only to say that “the weather in Memphis isn’t expected to break until ___” or “we hope to be able to resume shipments on _____, weather permitting.” The silence is deafening.Yea. Right now at the Memphis, TN hub nothing is moving at all and it's been like this since Sunday.
Yea heard to say, I get the Fedex Service Alerts mail on a daily basis telling me that there is a server weather impact alert. I've been told that no planes are flying in and out of Memphis, TN.And, more importantly, there is still no indication when things will finally start moving. I can’t imagine Apple’s pleased that their supply chain is essentially crippled. You’d think they are hammering fedex & ups to find alternatives. Then again, maybe there aren’t any (that would make a measurable difference).Yea heard to say, I get the Fedex Service Alerts mail on a daily basis telling me that there is a server weather impact alert. Yea. I don't think Apple can do anything about this when it's the weather that is effecting the Fedex/UPS services.I can’t imagine Apple’s pleased that their supply chain is essentially crippled. Up here we usually get some stock every week. There’s been nothing at all this week at Apple or retailers.
Thank you. That’s far more than I’ve heard from FedEx. The remaining question is when the airport/FAA estimate that outbound flights will resume. Looking at the weather on the Weather Channel, it seems that things should have cleared enough to support outbound flights by now. Admittedly that is not the same as an aviation weather briefing. How did you sign up to get FedEx Service Alerts?Yea heard to say, I get the Fedex Service Alerts mail on a daily basis telling me that there is a server weather impact alert. Heads up for those whose APMs are stuck in FedEx limbo in Memphis. I just spoke with FedEx and they said flights are still grounded and they have no idea when they will get clearance to resume. Then on the news a minute ago, they said flights have been canceled in Memphis due to water pressure issues. So there we have it. Even though it seems that Memphis is better off than Texas, things are still a mess there, at least at the airport. I’m sad for all the folks affected by this miserable weather. 🥲
I do have an account with Fedex so I get them but I think I only get it because my apple return is still stuck in Memphis, TN. It was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday, 2/16/2021. I still have til this Friday for Apple to receive it but I'm going to phone Apple about the situation and see what they can do.How did you sign up to get FedEx Service Alerts?
Also I know who works at Apple who has a friend that works at Fedex HUB in Memphis, TN, and likely been told that nothing will move till Sunday (Today), this was couple days ago when I asked that apple staff about it. We shall see.
Yea I just checked my status and now it's in transit so looks like it's back on business.Seems like your friend’s info might be accurate. I checked on FlightAware and there’s a flight from Memphis to Toronto scheduled for later this evening (FDX 148). Based on available history the route operates almost every day, but hasn’t been flown since last Saturday. This lines up with Mem airport’s grounding of flights this week.
No guarantees any APMs will be on that flight. Though if it goes ahead, there shouldn’t be any reason why other flights won’t as well.
CORRECTION: I misread the dates on that FlightAware page. Flights (although heavily delayed) did depart Memphis on Wed-Sat this week. So I guess we’re back to square one on why we’re seeing these delays... 😕
