Just picked up a pair of Maxes in midnight. Had the first gen but sold them since I didn’t use them much and was getting into lossless audio. Glad that the new ones support lossless. Does anyone know if ANY USB-C cable works for this, or do I need to use the provided one?

I ordered my very first set of AirPods, in this case a set of AirPod Pro 3 headphones, and will be taking delivery of them tomorrow according to Apple's current status. Looking forward to using this set with my new iPhone Air.

EDIT: I have been using my new AirPod Pro 3 headphones a day now and can say I have been blown away with its performance. Although this is my very first pair of AirPods, I don't have any reference from the original AirPods or the AirPod Pro 2 series. I can only mention my experience using the AirPod Pro 3 series. I was impressed by the excellent noise cancelling and the personalized Spatial Audio feature of this headphone. I watched F1 the movie on it last night and was completely blown away with the audio these headsets provided and this morning how I left my iPhone Air on my patio table and went inside my home to take care of a few things while listening to a YouTube video and went around my kitchen then to my laundry room without loosing connection or audio quality.

I know there are those pointing out the shortcomings of this new headphone however with this said, from my experience using these headphones for the first time, I'm very satisfied with them and am glad I purchased them.

Just wondering, does the new AirPods Max (USB-C) works with Spotify Lossless, Tidal when wired using an iPhone 17 Pro?

I mean the APM doesn't limit it's compatibility with ALAC only but also compatible with other format like FLAC files etc?

It seems like a lot of people, including myself, originally loved the silver color — but since it tends to get dirty easily, many of us ended up going with Space Gray instead. I really hope Apple can find a way to fix this issue so we can confidently pick the color we actually love!

My AirPods Max (original generation) have just gone mad, I have to reset them endlessly or they will not be able to be used. It’s like they are frozen up.

After being reset, they detect being in my head and can be used. But if I put them down and come back they do the same thing again.

The sensor inside them is clean, also the connection between the band and the earpieces is also clean.

I am having the SAME issue, but not only when I take them off. When I stop music they lose connection also, not findable as a device, and I need to go through a series of hard resets and re-pairing. 😔

See this:
Mine went absolutely mad today, they just would not work at all, no head detection at all. Just unresponsive.

I ended up disconnecting the earpieces from the headband and cleaning the connectors thoroughly using isopropyl alcohol (along with the black parts inside the earpieces) and then doing the reset procedure and they seem to have become responsive again.

For how long they will be like that, who knows. They are a real pain in the... When they work they are lovely, when they don't, it's maddening. I spend ages doing resets before meetings and struggling with them and apologising to other meeting attendees when they start doing silly things.

I ended up getting another set (of the USB-C version). Which I discovered to my dismay have just been superseded by the Air Pods Max 2.

So the new ones are going back to Apple and I'll get the Air Pods Max 2 instead.

The new ones have only had very minimal use, the case isn't even unwrapped from the protective wrapping.

The second generation ones I'll be very careful about not folding them flat to avoid the issues I had with my first set.

I know there are other high end headphones out there, but they just don't have the easy connections between all of my devices.

Considering it took six years to get the 2nd edition, I would be surprised if the 3rd comes anytime soon.
Apple's funny like that; they release products when ready. They may just be releasing the Max 2 now because they had them in the pipeline whereas the Max 3 might not be that far off.

Plus, they just released APP3 and will supposedly release APP3+ or APP4 soon…

That was to be expected; pre-orders have already jumped to the 8th-10th for the past two days. I'll wait for the first reviews and then decide whether I'll replace my USB-C AirPods Max. I'm tempted, but for me, only the sound and noise cancellation are important. Everything else, like phone calls or voice isolation, is secondary.

Anyone see shipping info or been charged yet? Mine still show in progress, no shipping info in FedEx or ups, and no charge on my Apple Card yet. Still shows 1-3 guessing will be closer to the 3rd.

No change on my end, but it's set for express delivery, so I imagine if it ships today or tomorrow, it'll deliver on April 1. Does yours say express delivery?
