Just enjoy them. I had mine for nearly 3 years now and yeah, it's tough and scratches will happen. So what? it does not affect sound. Just don't drop them on concrete or subway tracks. ENJOY!

Is anyone still purchasing these or waiting for gen 2?
I want some because I have a lot of travel coming up and my APP are too finicky and fall out of my ears a lot. Got rid of my Bose QC and now want another over ear set. I knows it been a long time for an update though and it’s coming sometime next year. Just a matter of when right? I would probably be fine with these if I got a deal on them.

Latest rumors are “late” next year. So if you really need them, snagging a deal might not be a bad idea. You could sell maybe next year and upgrade if it’s worth it?
That’s how I feel. And upgrade if it’s worth it like you said. With my luck I’ll buy now and they’ll update in January.
AirPods Max are currently out of stock or low on stock at all retailers in the Netherlands (and as far as I’ve checked almost everywhere in Europe). Only Apple has quick delivery times on all colors (~1 to 2 weeks), some retailers are indicating an expected delivery time of 1 to 6 weeks from now.
Fall of this year seems generally likely for new AirPods Maxes.
What’s last leg about yours? I’m upset Apple doesn’t sell refurbishment parts. I need a new headband … idk what happened when my girlfriend borrows mine but it’s completely worn out.
‘Have you been inside an AirPod? No much the user can replace in there. On my AirPods, one side sometimes does not work. Could be the trip through the washer but that was months and months ago. Just recently having this problem.
I think you’re in the wrong thread. This is for AirPods Max. You can easily replace the headband, ear cups, etc. they’re pretty modular.
Reminds me of Apple discontinuing the small MagSafe battery pack that they used to sell. Loved that thing but it is gone forever.
Pre-ordered the starlight AirPods Max. Don‘t want to wait another year to get my first pair.

It is a risk I‘m willing to take. I like my battered and scratched aluminium iPhone 1st gen back.
I was going to get some, however they haven’t updated them outside of new colours and USB-C. I can’t believe Apple did that after 4 years of no updates!!
My AirPods Pro 2 have the H2 chip and features that the Max don‘t and they are around HALF the cost. Apple are getting lazy.
