Everything was just fine...I was expecting my airpods today...and now UPS says:
  • We've incorrectly sorted the package at our facility. This may cause at least one business day delay.
So, I won't get my airpods until next year.

Thank you UPS

I've had mine since the 19th, and I'm enjoying them. I've gone running with them a number of times, and they haven't fallen out or felt like they were going to fall out. They stay in even when tilting my head 90 degrees right or left, but I know that different ears may not have the same experience. They sound noticeably better than the LG Tone Pros that I had been using, and it's nice not having the wires and housing around my neck.

Sorry, but how have you been harmed? Apple has not taken your money yet as they don't charge you until they ship. And I would assume the estimated date you were given at time of order has not passed yet. Sorry it sucks but the FTC and BBB are not going to give a flip about it.

If you don't understand, then you don't have to.

Just received two emails from Apple Online Store Executive Relations about my complaints. I won't ask for anything just my AirPods on time.

Last I checked it's not Jan 12, so they are not late.
I am not saying they are late. I am saying that someone ordered after me, and their estimate delivery date is later than me. Now they have received it, or their AirPods are on the way, but there is no further information for mine. I only received one order confirmation after I placed the order.

It's unfair, right?

I am sorry to say that you are wrong. And I have to say, I believe that "this generation of millennials" can do much better than me to defend their rights.

Sorry but you come across entitled and impatient. And your characteristics sadly make up a large portion of millennials. Please do everyone a favor and leave this thread.

With all the things going on in the world right now, to be crying about fairness because somebody gets their order before you seems petty.

I guess I just don't get so worked up over such a first world problem. Apple has not taken your money yet. They are still within the window provided when you placed your order. Going to every complaint channel at this point seems silly to me, but I guess I have bigger things to worry about then somebody getting their Airpods before me.

Yep you are right. I am just a little bit impatient.

:D I can't promise to be nice, but I do promise to not share your emails with anyone or spam them myself. It's too much work!

ordered from Best Buy on the 24th, checked status and backordered with delivery date of feb 14. I checked again and the ship date was moved up to Jan 3rd, and now it's out for delivery today.

It would be great if everyone who gives shipping, arrival, etc. information could mention the order date and time!

I placed three orders for AirPods
  • Order 1
    • Apple
    • placed 12/25
    • estimated ship date 2/16/17
    • ended up cancelling this order when I placed VZW was not cancelled and actually shipped
  • Order 2
    • Best Buy
    • placed 12/25 with free standard shipping
    • original estimated date 2/16/17
    • order status changed to preparing on 12/27 with date updated to "get it by 1/4/17"
    • unable to cancel by the time VZW order was not cancelled and actually shipped
    • order shipped on 12/28
    • scheduled to arrive 12/31 via USPS
  • Order 3
    • Verizon Wireless
    • placed 12/26 with free 2 day shipping
    • shipped on 12/26
    • arrived on 12/28 via FedEx signature required (not home to accept delivery)
    • re-delivered on 12/29 and left with door tag signature release

This reminds me of a story I once heard.

A man went out and found some men to hire for a job. He promised them a penny for the day's work (this was obviously forever ago when a penny was worth a lot more). A few hours later he went out and hired more men and promised them a penny for the day's work. Then again a few hours later (just a couple hours before quitting time) he hired even more and promised them a penny for the day's work.

The men who had been there all day were upset because they were getting the same payment as the men who only worked the last couple hours of the day. The man who hired them said something to the effect of, "You agreed to work till the end of the day for a penny. If you didn't think that was fair, why didn't you say something about it before I hired you?" Basically, they were perfectly happy with the agreement when he hired them, and he fulfilled his end of the contract. It's not really any of their business if he pays someone else the same price for less work.

Apple never promised that you would get the AirPods before someone else, regardless of when they ordered. Apple promised that you would get them sometime between now and end-of-day Jan 12. You have absolutely nothing to complain about unless they don't show up by the 12th of January. If that happens (which I highly doubt) come back and complain all you want.
