I ordered mine a few hours after they went on sale. January 12 was the ship date. Just saw my account was charged. They are 'Preparing for Shipment'. Hopefully that means mine are shipping soon...ahead of schedule
Mine are now preparing for shipment too, what is the grace period between it and shipping usually? Anyone know?
I use the isinstock web site yesterday. Put in my email address and my local Apple store
Where I wanted to pick them up. This morning I got an alert that they were available at my store
Went online and ordered for pick up and picked them up an hour later. Oh, cancelled my online
order that was not going to ship until Feb 7,

Still says processing, ships 2 weeks.
Card, however, was just charged a couple of minutes ago.
I have my credit card accounts set to text/email me whenever a charge goes through. It may be annoying at times, but it's the first indication that something is moving.

Best Buy - Ordered 12/21, Ships by 2/9
Checked Target online last night and only found 2 stores within 100 miles - one in-stock and the closer one with limited stock. Called the closer store at 8:15 am to hold a pair. 1 of the 3 was already sold. 15 minutes into my 90 minutes subway ride I get a "Your Order Has Shipped" email from Best Buy! I go back home and call Target to say I'm not showing up. I call Best Buy later to confirm the delivery date and was told that only the USPS label was created so I should expect to get it delivered between 2/4 and 2/9. Arrgghh!!
But wait...12 hours later I check the USPS tracking website again and see that it did actually ship today with delivery for Saturday. I'm hoping there's no delays since I have a flight Sunday morning.
Update: Apple charged my card less than an hour ago. Looks like a big container ship just unloaded a bunch of AirPods. Now I have two sets coming at once.
This is almost as bad as an iPhone launch.

Shipped! UPS says it will come tomorrow but Apple says it will be here 1/4. What to believe?
Starting to think mine actually might be delivered on the 12th. Ugh. The anticipation is killing me.
Hey family I just ordered from Best buy and I have Feb 16 ship date I hope it comes earlier than that. I used my $100 gift card thats the only reason I got it from best buy
Just received mine today. Ordered around noon on release day, was scheduled for the 12th of January.
They were held at customs yesterday, Apparently just so they could put stickers on the box saying it contained li-ion batteries.

Shipped! 1/4 delivery.
odd that the day after I complain and get a $35 credit, (didn't ask for compensation, just went on an extended rant out of honesty, and said it wasn't that guy's fault and no one cares but I'm getting really sick of this crap long story short and he said he was going to speak with an advisor to see if there was any thing that could be done period just since I was so pissed)
and multiple ship date bumps, it went from prepared to shipment to shipped,
either I complained at the perfect time or they did something..
should be here Tuesday end of day can't wait
definitely a headache but I hope they prove to be the product I've been looking for, for bike riding, etc.
