AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

Ordered on January 10 from Best Buy, received on January 20. Been playing with these for a few days and it was money well spent. The AirPods are seriously magical (LOL). I haven't experienced any drop outs or battery issues yet (*knocks on wood*).

I might not look good wearing them, but AirPods are my favorite purchase in a long time.

Been watching this tread for some time now and I have noticed that most, if not all, shipments have been from BB, ATT, Verizon. How many shipments, expect from the initial launch, has apple shipped? I placed my order December 28 with an expected delivery of February 17th with no movement on the order. Not to worried about getting them, just curious how apple is shipping their stock.
 
My BB order from 01/15 finally just went to "preparing for shipment"...so I think we'll see movement/stock this week in the other stores as well.
 
Sprint.com came through. Ordered late on 1/23 already receiving tracking number early morning 1/24..

I ordered mine Dec. 17 2016, and today I just got the preparing for shipment and just couple minutes ago I got a shipment notification saying my be be delivered tomorrow. Jan. 25



When Placed my order it said ships 6 weeks and Delivers Feb. 7
 
Ordered on Jan 23rd. Estimated delivery: March 8th. Hopefully I'll get luck with store inventory before then.
 
I ordered from Best Buy with $25 off visa offer on Jan 19 with estimated delivery March 8. It seems most people who ordered from BB on here have gotten them sooner, hopefully that continues.

ordered from apple early Jan, still says 6 weeks (weeks in chinese character btw)
 
My BestBuy order from 1/15 is being delivered tomorrow. So it seems like its about 10 days from order to delivery from BB right now.

Were they listed as in stock or on back order when you got them? I grabbed them on 1/17, so just figuring out my timing.

When I ordered them they showed a shipping date for sometime early March, so I think its just a placeholder. If you purchased yours on the 17th I'd expect you're going to get shipping notification by the end of this week for delivery next week.
 
Given all this, makes me think twice about ordering from Apple Store in the future. Not in a punitive way, but it is a customer service issue.

Agreed. I'd order through BB and cancel my Apple order if not for the fact I have a $100 apple gift card I'm using.

Yep, I was locked into the Apple store because of gift cards as well. On the plus side, my 12/19 order is now finally preparing to ship, with an ETA of 2/1, which was moved up from the original data of 2/7.

UPDATE: Just got a shipping notice. Mine should arrive tomorrow!

This is interesting. Ordered from BB Jan 15th and order was preparing to ship yesterday, now has gone back to back ordered (with a status changed notice)..so im not sure if Best Buy is consistently keeping the 7-10 d thing going.
 
Ordered AirPods at my local Apple Authorised Reseller on December 27th, I called today to ask if they will receive any shipments this week. They told me that I was number one on the waiting list and I should expect them soon, as in the coming days. Haven't had the best experiences with this store and delivery times, so I'm hoping to receive them this week.
 
So I ordered mine yesterday(1/24) from BestBuy and yesterday funds started to get allocated away for the AirPods but today the funds are back. I guess some people got their AirPods shipments out today.

Yes, Best Buy will auth your credit card, then the auth will fall back off.

I'm waiting on a BB order from 1/17. I also technically have an ATT order in where I must have just missed their stock cutoff, 1/15 or so. That ATT order says it'll be delivered sometime in February. I notice there have been no more ATT stock alerts since then--Apple must have cut them off for now.
