Verizon did the same on Sunday to US folks, a 4am availability on a sunday looked crazy, curious how that's decided.

ordered at bestbuy.com on Jan 15th. Original ship date was March 7th. I got an email and tracking info on Jan 18th that it's shipped !!!!. I can't wait. :)

Oh strange, good to hear they're starting to send out the AirPods so quickly...I had ordered on Jan 15th as well (with the 25 dollar visa promotion) from them, with estimated ship date of March 5th, and my oder is still processing -- no movement. Hopefully that'll change today seeing as how yours is shipping. Had an ATT order too for the last 3 days with no movement, just ended up cancelling that. Not sure, maybe I'm just not destined for these things..lol.

Still nada from my ATT order placed three days ago. If you're camping out ATT, maybe a good idea to have your account etc already set up so you can check out ASAP.

I ordered from AT&T on Monday and they should be delivered today. For anyone wanting to get a pair setup notifications at istocknow.com. That's how I was able to order from AT&T.

And... what do you think? :apple::)

I think they are worth the price. My initial thoughts are going to be based on my usage from yesterday and all day today due to an early start.

W1 chip pairs so seamlessly, it's how Bluetooth should be. I showed my girlfriend, who has a S7, and she was so impressed.

Sound quality is on par with the earpods, which I don't mind tbh, I have MDR-1000x for long sessions. The earpods fit well for me because I have small ears so I knew the airpods would be comfortable. The airpods are light but without the cord, I don't have to worry about accidently knocking them out. Some of my friends think they look like Q-Tips sticking out which at first I thought so too. Walking around in public, the stigma really isn't all that bad and the convenience of the Airpods really helps you forget the initial gripes. Again, these aren't noise-cancelling, and you will hear loud noises at a busy intersection, just like with the earpods. If sound quality or isolation is someone's biggest factor, then the AirPods should not even be considered.

The charging case is nice and people I shown so far are impressed. Magnet works well. I have gotten the dental floss comments but not as negative as the internet makes it so.

Call quality is good. Talked on the phone with the airpods for little over an hour with no issue. Range is really good. Doing chores around the house, I can just leave my phone on the counter occasionally with no hiccups.

I only have had them for a little over 24 hours so I cannot comment on battery life just yet. I do not use the AirPods at the gym because I have some "wear and tear" Sony's for that so I cannot comment on water/sweat resistance.

So far, I'm satisfied with the purchase and considering the tech and competitors, I honestly think the price point is fair. The charging case is what really like and the concept was well done. The ultimate factor is the convenience. While I do have MDR-1000x, I'm obviously not going to use them for calls, walking around in public, or for quick listening sessions, this is where I wanted the airpods to fit in and so far, I like them.

I used the $25 Visa checkout with Best Buy today (Jan 19) and shows ship by date of 3/8. Hoping they ship sooner and glad Best Buy was still offering the Visa discount.

It's really not THAT seamless, sadly. While they work just great when they're working, my wife and I are both experiencing peculiarities. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give them up, but they definitely need a firmware update.

1.) Sometimes when removing one from the case, it can take over 10 seconds to connect, and sometimes it won't connect at all - to my iPhone 7 Plus (latest iOS). I then have to put it back in the case, remove it, and then it works.

2.) The double tap to invoke Siri sometimes refuses to work. Again, put back in the case, or manually make a call - fixes it.

There's definitely a feeling of not-quite-finished in regards the software side of things here.

Still, I do love them...

If I order from apple.com right now, what are the chances to get them earlier than the 6 weeks they say on their website?

Pairs just fine for me and even connects quickly to my MacBook. Been using it consistently.

I don't even use Siri. Apple needs to step up its game in that department. "Ok Google" is better by miles.

Apple tends to deliver ahead of schedule. Of all the products I have ordered from Apple in recent years, I've always received them typically ahead of time other than what the delivery date was specifying.

My AirPods arrived over two weeks early.

Awesome. Just got the email and managed to get an order placed. Here's hoping it processes. Thanks for all the work you're doing with iStockNow!

Update: Target has shipped the package same day. It also looks like there was a second window to order this afternoon.

I clicked the link, logged in, clicked "pay now" and received an error they were out of stock. Guess Target isn't smart enough to give purchasers 5 minutes to check out. Most every other company holds your place allowing you to enter your information before giving it up to someone else.

I ordered from ATT during the most recent window (3-4 days ago) and I just received an email from them saying the new delivery date is ... February 16th. Seems ATT may no longer be a viable option.

I really blew it on this one. Promised a friend I could get them earlier than Apple. At that time people here were getting BB and ATT shipments very regularly. I even held out on a Target order when it was available because their shipping is slow. Then once I got the ATT confirmation, I made the mistake of canceling a slightly older BB order that probably would have shipped by now. (I have now placed another BB order.)

TL;DR, I wonder if Apple has started redirecting their output to their own pre-orders.

I got mine today from best buy my only complaint is best buy has chosen to use usps and i figured the mailperson would put it into the locked condo style box or the one with keys we all use I have seen the size box its not that big.to make a long story short it ended up on my front door when i was gone .I have become frustrated with usps after amazon continues to use them and all the problems that have occurred.cant wait to give them a try
