that seems to indicate shipping straight from China, no? So it seems as some predicted, now that the Chinese New Year is over, the floodgates might open up...

I ordered mine from apple on DEC 28...wonder if I'll see some movement in the next day or two?
 
I ordered mine on 1/27, with an estimate of 3/16 delivery. It sounds like the average wait is a month. Is that right?

That delivery date should change to a couple of days from now. At least, that's what happened with mine. The status changed to preparing to ship on Monday with a delivery date of 2/9 then the next day, the delivery date changed to 2/2.
 
I live in Melbourne (Australia) and I've been checking this religiously since I ordered in mine. Just got a shipping message

Ordered: 27th December, expected delivery 14th February
Shipped: 2nd Feb, expected delivery 3rd February

Same here. Ordered within a minute or two of receiving the notification and they shipped same day for delivery tomorrow.
 
My 12/28 order just went to "preparing for shipment" tonight...delivery date 2/13.

I ordered within a minute (email from istock and order confirm were a minute apart) and still processing...
 
Anyone know why it says "Ships 6 weeks" but the estimate they gave me is actually 8 weeks?

Also, the fact that there's a 6-8 week wait on headphones is really ridiculous.
 
Ended up cancelling my online order, my local store got a few pairs in a couple hours ago so I snatched them up with in-store pick up.

... and update, they're faulty. tried everything I could to pair, nothing worked. have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow and pray they have the replacement stock. the guy I spoke to from support is sending me a free pair of EarPods for my trouble anyway.
 
I have called Apple Store Firenze and they said that this morning they received some AirPods but they didn't update Apple Store online. Sold out again in few minutes.........
