Yeah, that's my concern. It *does* seem odd that they would have had stock for so long after auto-notifications went out. I just placed my order a couple hours ago, so I'm waiting to see if someone at AT&T can give me some concrete information. I took screencaps of my convo with an AT&T rep in their chat client prior to placing my order, and they insisted they were in stock, so I'm going to be pretty upset if I was lied to, and AT&T will catch holy hell for it.

Talked with an AT&T rep through their chat client, she indicated they were, in fact, in stock, so I placed my order with fingers crossed. They immediately took the money, so we'll have to see if it works. I should get an update on my order in about an hour. I canceled the order I had in place (since yesterday) with the Apple Store e-platform, so here's hoping that for once, AT&T is more reliable than Apple is.
I too did this after receiving notifications about availability, but I'm not rejoicing just yet...that is until I receive follow up emails saying that my order has been shipped. Fingers crossed just like everyone else. I got my order in within 10 minutes.
Anyone get a secondary email yet? This is what my screen says in the ATT app..

It does seem odd. I asked the AT&T rep that same question. And he just said "Well we have them in stock, so I don't see why they wouldn't ship out soon. I've never seen the system hold something as in stock when it really wasn't, so I think you are OK".
Keeping my fingers crossed! Placed my order a few hours ago as well. Not canceling my Apple order until I know for sure though.
Mine is saying the same thing as I check the website. I'm hoping this isn't one of those bizarre glitches like several sites were having with the NES Classic before Christmas. It's really bizarre that the Airpods were showing as "in stock" for as long as they were.

Also found out (per my chat agent) that restock is usually done every 24 hours and most emails containing shipping information will probably go out by Monday at the latest. So it still sounds like a toss up for the most part if you were able to get an order in shortly after istocknow and isinstock notifications earlier today. Back to fingers crossed and keeping eyes peeled this weekend n the meantime! Good luck to all that placed AT&T orders today, including myself.
I did an online chat with AT&T a couple hours after ordering and asked expected shipping date and what kind of shipping they do for expedited (I'm traveling the following week so hoping to get before then). The chat person told me that I should receive my order on Monday. I won't believe it until I get a shipping notice.
Sounds very similar to what my rep said. I too also did expedited shipping, but from my understanding I thought my rep meant a shipping confirmation by Monday. But if I receive my order on Monday, I certainly wouldn't complain
My only hope is that the stock numbers are correct but the 24 hr refresh seems valid at this point since they have been available since about 2:15pm.
AT&T stock is usually accurate when it comes to iPhone Pre-Orders every year and once they are out shipping dates start to ship so I would hope they would do the same for the AirPods (meaning that it would be "Out of Stock" once they were really out).

Surprised they were still available. I just did a chat and placed an order after the rep said that they did have them in stock and I wouldn't be able to order if they were not available. Hopefully this isn't an "alternative fact."
Sounds a little different from what my chat rep said; said she saw conflicting information, one page saying available, and another showing unavailable and after checking a third time they are in fact sold out. Oh man, sounds like conflicting stories are abound. I guess the next few days will be the tale of the tape if shipping confirmations go out or not.

Yeah, time will tell for AT&T. I was just able to place an order 5 minutes ago-which also gave me the option to add expedited shipping for 14.95. I checked that box. If it's a situation where they wait until March to ship, I'll be wondering why I paid for expedited shipping...
So after reading these posts, I talked to a rep and they told me that I should have them by the end of this coming week, since I chose express shipping. We'll see
15 bucks shipping is pretty steep for such a small item. I would hope that if really is in stock, it would make the trip in less than a week. But beggars can't be choosers, I suppose. They're not getting any cheaper on eBay
