I'm from Croatia and the premium Apple resellers here are getting scraps in AirPods stock. Was hoping Amazon would come through.

Just got an alert for the Apple Store at Garden State Plaza in NJ and was able to buy a set of AirPods for pick up.
 
AirPods drop in the US, looks like a big one.

When NY holds stock for >12 mins, we can start to say the drought period is ending.

looks like more states in the east are getting shipment as well! come on arizona!! lol

Yup, my order also changed to preparing to ship. But I also just picked up one in person from the Apple store (thanks to the iStockNow alerts!) so I might return the AT&T one/give it/sell it. It looks like the shipments are coming in quicker now.

Thank you, iStockNow!!! Just got an email from you that AirPods are available at the Apple Store in Sacramento. Snagged a pair on the Apple Store App. I will pick them up asap. I am going to wait until I actually have them in my hands before I cancel my online order with Apple that I made on New Year's Day. So happy I will have them for my trip on the 18th! I don't know how you do this for people all over the world but I am so grateful to you! Yay!

Yes. I panicked when I got your email which was sent to me at 10:12 AM and I didn't see it until 10:25, but I was still able to order the AirPods for pickup in Sacramento today. They had been disappearing in 3 to 5 minutes. Thanks again for your service!

Got pissed real quick at myself. For a notification at 11am that one local store had them and I didn't see the email until 11:30. Called them and they had already been sold. While I was on the phone the second email notification from istock came over that the other local store just became available. Woooooo

Nice! That's definitely the big one, 61% of US Apple Stores have had pickup availability today and still going up.
