Just ordered a set from Verizon. Said to ship today if ordered today by 8pm ET. Let's see. I'll cancel my att order asap
 
Verizon seems sketchy-they're showing as out of stock, but still let you begin the checkout process. It won't let me checkout because the system is reading my street address as a P.O. Box-which they won't ship to. This has backorder/cancel written all over it. Pass.

just ordered from vzw.. i have vzw so its gonna get billed to my account.. still havent been charged yet. under shipping it says "2 Day by 8pm" ... i think that means if u order by 8pm u get 2 day shipping... we will see! ill keep you guys posted.
 
Ordered mine just a sec ago at Verizon billed to my account. It still said in stock so I'm hoping it works out good. I was going to order at ATT this past weekend but I'm glad I waited.
 
So this is where I am not with my Verizon order. Before I placed my order it showed February 9 by 8 PM is when I would receive the AirPods with 2-day free shipping. After placing my order and receiving my confirmation email the shipping only stated free 2-day by 8 PM. Not only that but when I try to check my order status via the link in the confirmation email it is unable to pull up my order. I called the Verizon Internet order number and spoke with a representative who told me that my order was in fact good to go with everything that she could see on her end. Meaning that it was something that they actually did show in stock and my order being one that should process to ship soon. They have yet to charge my card yet though.

I got my order in at 3:16, about 4 minutes after IsInStock notified me of their availability at Verizon Wireless. I just got an email from Verizon notifying me that they were out of stock. I've cancelled the order and will go back to waiting on my Best Buy and Apple orders.

Got an IsInStock notification for the grove and placed my order. Yesss.

Now to sell my Best Buy gift cards and break even. :D

That stinks. I got mine in the first minute or so. Confirmation email states 6:14. No cancellation email yet. Fingers crossed.
 
I did the Verizon order today and just gave them a call to make sure my order went through. I received the confirmation email but I wasn't charged and I couldn't get a status on Verizon website. I was told that they do not have any airpods. I said that the site said I would get them this Thursday. Verizon told me that is not correct and that they had zero stock when they started letting people make orders. She said they are waiting on Apple and that every order today is a backorder.
 
My confirmation email was at 5:48. So far no cancellation email but now I don't know. I might give them a call in a bit.
 
Still available now for in store pick up at Apple Store, the Grove CA :D

Also, I ordered from ATT over the weekend and Monday I received a cancellation email stating they were no longer in stock.

They are not going to cancel your order more than likely. You are just in line to get them wherever they get some.
 
Thanks to this thread i was able to secure 2 units in hand locally. I have 2 units inbound via BH. I don't know what to do now. I also have an ATT order I should probably cancel. All these paper chases.. lol

i got my order in right after getting the notification.. got confirmation email at 4:14pm arizona time.

Best Buy order from 1/16 around 8pm- Shipped today
ATT order 2/6 around 2:30pm- no action "order in progress" ( don't expect much from AT@T from past experience)

I was able to order AirPods from Verizon (confirmation email 6:04 PM ET) thanks to the alert before they sold out. Cancelled AT&T order, hopefully Verizon comes through.
