AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

My order showed the same thing. It's hard to say with AT&T. Last run they had on these was a trainwreck-reps stated that they had them in stock when they didn't.

I just received my second email, stating that delivery is March 14-21. Hopefully that changes today.

No I didn't use expedited shipping. Shipping from Texas. I just went by the website. It allowed me to put into shopping basket last week, over weekend it just said sold out and wouldnt allow me to add. And on Monday it did allow and I ordered a second pair for my husband and got email and text with tracking number Monday evening.

I still haven't gotten a shipping confirmation or tracking number, but my order status has changed from "in progress" to "preparing to ship". So that's encouraging.

I ordered about 3 hours ago.

That looks promising. Mine still says "In Progress". Ordered at 9:35am Eastern time.
 
I spoke with the same Jessica rep yesterday and she gave me the same information with respect to shipping date (Mar 14 - Mar 21), I even asked her to double check.

I ordered anyway and they shipped yesterday evening. There was no upgraded shipping option available, but it looks like they shipped FedEx 2DAY.

My Air Pods from Apple showed up yesterday, ordered on 1/7. I had a mild panic when the left pod wouldn't give me any sound, but putting them back in the case to charge seemed to "reset" it. First impressions: Bass is lacking a bit, but not as badly as I expected. Overall frequency response is excellent.
 
For those looking to pick up airpods quickly and with apple stores nearby, i recommend istocknow.com. I decided to pick some up today, I set up the notification for airpods this morning, got an email a a couple hours later, bought online with in-store pickup and I am now sitting here enjoying my new airpods.

Definitely check stores! Even if they don't appear on istocknow.com I just picked up a pair and they had several more - but I got lucky. I tried calling at 10:30 and they had nothing, but showed up at 2:00 and they just got a shipment.

Finally! AT&T sent me a shipping notice today after ordering this morning! Canceled my Apple Store order. Looks like mine are coming USPS. Not sure how some of you got UPS with AT&T. I didn't get an option for delivery method. Oh well. Just happy I finally found some!
 
So, I ordered this morning at 8:15 EST from AT&T, and I just got a tracking number that shows that they've been picked up by FedEx. Delivery is Thursday.
 
My order status is currently "in progress". I was a little late to the game today and waited to order until 1pm. Hopefully I have the same luck as the rest of you and these Airpods can arrive by Friday so I can surprise my wife :)

I ordered at 935 AM today and am jealous of all the shipping reports. Sigh, I can be patient.

I got two emails from AT&T today: one was an order confirmation and the other (much later in the day) just said "we've received your order". Seems weird that it would take all day for that second email to arrive.

Edit: Well, just went to check and it now says "preparing to ship" which is a change from the "in progress" from just over an hour ago. So yay progress.
 
For those in the UK, O2 has some AirPods.

Three working days shipping. I managed to get my order for collection within 2 days from the shop near me.

Thanks to iStockNow for the email about it! Haha!

I was content to just wait for my Airpods to arrive from Apple in early March until I stopped into the Syracuse, NY Apple Store and tried a pair out. They are so awesome and I can't wait to get them! After reading this thread almost every day seeing people get them a lot faster than through Apple, I decided to order a 2nd pair through AT&T last night.

I ordered online through Apple January 22nd w/ delivery March 8th (still processing)
I order online through AT&T February 21st w/ estimated ship date March 14th - March 21st order status (in progress)

I'm also watching on the interwebs via iStockNow

(fingers crossed!)
