Hmm. I just checked my Best Buy order placed on 2/9. Changed from "backordered" to "preparing", estimated delivery 2/20. No movement on my Verizon, AT&T, Apple and BH orders yet! If I get a tracing # from BB I'm cancelling the others!

I'm going to be honest, this would really tick me off.
Not your fault, totally Best Buy's but if people from Mid-January are still waiting for orders and ones from almost mid-february are shipping... that's messed up.
That would call for the warming of torches and the sharpening of pitchforks. Haha!

I agree - I'd be pissed too. I've been in that boat as well with preorders for other popular products. But until I get a tracking number I won't believe it - order have been wrong before.

Looks like AT@T is now taking pre-orders like BB and Apple. At least this time they are warning people of the delay unlike last time.

These can be had for 200 bucks including shipping on eBay(if you're patient)-I decided that the extra 30 bucks and some change was worth getting them without waiting. I'm not thrilled about spending an extra 30 bucks, but I'm nowhere near an Apple Store and tired of chasing. They'll be here tomorrow

I just ordered them today on Apple.com for my wife. 6 weeks! Here's hoping for an early delivery (which I'm sure they will). I have a pair which I ordered on Dec. 13, 2016 and was delivered on Dec. 19 and have been enjoying them ever since.

I hope you're right, but I've been following this thread for over a month now...and the earliest I've seen (from Apple) is about 5 business days earlier than expected. I ordered mine on Jan 13th...and with 2 weeks and 3 days to go until the 6 week promised date...there's been zero movement.

I bought a pair of Powerbeats 3, but I'm starting to think the AirPods would be better. It kills me to see all these stupid scalpers. I see listings on eBay where they have multiple boxes in the picture for sale. That crap annoys the heck out of me. However, I'm puzzled as to why the heck it's taking Apple so freakin long to supply these to stores.
