AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

I ordered mine on the Apple site on Jan 13, they were scheduled to arrive on March 6th (52 days = 7 weeks, 3 days) but I just received notice this morning that they have shipped and will arrive on February 22nd (40 days = 5 weeks, 5 days). So, my Airpods will arrive exactly 12 days ahead of schedule!

Ordered from Verizon couple weeks ago... they lost my order. Ordered from Target Wednesday and its on the Fedex truck right now! They can be found.

Recap: My BB order from 2/9 did deliver yesdarday (2/16). Yeah I got lucky apparently. BUT my wife decided to take those airpods. I have a backorder from B&H (2/12) that shows movement today: "In Stock - order sent to warehouse". Hopefully thats a good sign.

Nice! I ordered on January 14, with an estimate of March 7. Here's hoping I get a shipment notification in the next day or so!
 
just ordered mine from best buy today. i used the visa check out promo $25 off purchases over $100 or more. Estimated delivery date of April 7 lol.
 
I ended up buying a new, sealed pair off Craigslist for $180. Literally, only paid $10 more than what I would have paid at the Apple Store. (Retail+tax) So far really liking them and I'm returning the Beats X.

they are in the stores for about 20 seconds or so.as soon as I bought them they were out again.

I really think it's mostly because of scalpers buying 10 pairs and listing them on eBay. I'd love to skip the wait, but I'm sorry...I can't stomach paying twice the price for it.
 
Ordered last Thursday from ATT and got shipping notification 2 days later on Saturday and will be delivered tomorrow. I cancelled my order from Apple which said 6 weeks shipping.
 
I ordered from BHPhotovideo (in Feb 16) and after they finished verifying my details, they are processing now the order. I asked them to sent to Shipito's warehouse in Minden, Nevada (freight forwarder). From there I'll ship to my country. They charged me US$ 159 including shipping.
 
So, pretty ticked with Target. They showed in stock for shipping this week this morning. I ordered, got a confirmation and guaranteed date of by next Tuesday. Now my order says backordered. So maddening that Apple is taking so long to stock these. It's really a crappy experience. Every product they come out with in the last couple years takes forever to be available.

Has this kind of thing happened to anyone else? Confirmed order and preparing to ship being changed to out of stock?
 
I I ordered another pair for my husband from att at lunch time today and just got a tracking number that they shipped. I ordered my pair last Thursday from
Att and are delivering tomorrow. Still shows you can put them in your cart. Over the weekend you couldn't do that. Cancelled the order from Apple which still showed a delivery of April 10.
 
newbie here...i ordered 2 sets around lunchtime today on ATT also. Just got an email that they shipped and are scheduled for delivery Wed 02/22.
 
I ordered from Apple on 1/14, originally slated for 3/7.

This morning (2/21) I got a shipment notice that they'll be here on 2/28 2/27! They bumped my order up a day!

Well, I'm giving at&t a shot. We'll see. Guess you just have to try multiple venues to get these things right now.

Same here-I'll post if I get a tracking number. Did you see an option for expedited shipping during checkout?
 
For those of you that ordered via ATT yesterday did it state an original ship date of mid March on the main product page?
I want to go ahead and place an order but need them here in the next week vs 3 weeks out.

PER ATT CHAT REP:

Jessica: right now it airpods are out stock, however you can place the order today, and the estimate ship days will be between en mar 14 - mar 21, 2017.

If the estimate is off and the shipment is actually much sooner then I will jump on that.
