AirPods, Order/Shipping Thread

My AirPods do not fit "sealed" in my ear, especially the left one and today it drive me nuts! I kept having to push the damn thing back into my ear for a proper fit. Not happy today with them. May have to return....
 
For what it's worth I ordered mine from the Apple Store on March 28 and it projected May 16 delivery (6 weeks). Just tracked my order and they are on the truck for delivery today (May 8), so it took about 5 weeks instead of 6 for me.

Can't wait to try them out!
 
For anyone who wants them within a week: order from att, I literally got 2 in like 4 days and they have an insane stock currently

Had to get a replacement from Apple but they came overnight ️️

Apple Store in my area received stock. I was able to get another pair. When I went to pick it up, they still had bunch left. istocknow showed that it was sold out, but apparently they reserve some for walk-ins. So just because it shows out of stock at istocknow.com doesn't necessarily mean they are sold out. They may have them in stock at the apple store for walk in availability.
 
I ordered the Airpods through Apple on April 3, with a delivery date of May 22. This morning (May 12), my shipping info was finally updated to shipped. Delivery is expected May 18.
 
My AirPods don't automatically connect to me iPhone. Like when I open Spotify I have to select AirPods from the menu. I thought if I was wearing the AirPods they would automatically connect?

I find that if I am using multiple Apple items (iPad Pro, iPhone or MacBook Pro) that I'll need to select to connect in the bluetooth option before it connects. Is this normal; should it be automatic?
 
I picked up my new Airpods in store friday after checking randomly in the Apple Store app if the estimated shipping was still 6 weeks (it was), but noticed that 2 stores a bit far from me had them in stock.

A few hours later, i checked again and the store closer to me now also showed them in stock so I ordered them from the app for pickup. An hour later I received the confirmation that they were ready for pickup, which I did 15 minutes later :D

I ordered from Best Buy yesterday and got a ship date of June 19th. Ugh. I have Best Buy rewards dollars so I have to order through them.
 
Got mine today from Best Buy. About 3-4 days from order to delivery. They were covered in gunk though oit of the box.

Quality wise? Meh, they'll probably go back or be gifted. I'm not sold just yet but maybe I'll come around.

Today i've ordered mine online by m-electronics in Switzerland around 12PM MEZ and paid directly via debit card. Around 4PM i'v received a mail with the the hint for delayed shipping (shipping day unknown). I will wait until they ship it. Better to receive them late than never.

Got an email from isinstock that the Greensboro NC store had some in...was able to complete my order online, just waiting for the email saying i can pick them up! I hate ordering something and having to wait 5-6 weeks, even if that means i have to wait a few months to buy them the same day lol!
 
Anyone order over the weekend and get a ship notice from VZW? My order said priority next day would be here before 10:30AM tomorrow, but no tracking number yet.
 
Been using isinstock for the last 2 days trying to locate a pair no luck yet. This really sucks and it seems like production is getting worse cause at my Apple Store it's slipped from July 10 to July 13 now.
