Mine are coming in the mail today, so all of these negative impressions are making me skeptical.

EDIT: Just received and installed the "medium" set. Fits much better than Apple's tips, but no difference in audio quality.

CharJens back on and went running today. No issues with them falling out due to sweat, etc.

Can mostly recommend them, although they are quite expensive. Comply are just awful.

I'm still trying to decide on comply or charjens. Apple's Airpods Pro Large tips feel like theyre always about to fall out unless I push on them sometimes.

Can you describe what the genuine Comply foam is like? This is my first product from them so I don’t have anything to compare it with.

The foam when its removed from your ears, is compressed into the shape of your ear. The fake foam Comply are now using doesn't do that, it just expands into its shape before you put it in. It's not true memory foam.

Charged UK tax on the Complys, a very expensive purchase.

I had forgotten that imports from the U.S. attract VAT and sometimes import duty in addition. Luckily for me our local sorting office didn’t spot the Charges sticker on the back of the envelope. They just stuffed the envelope through my letter box saving me £12.56 (£4.56 VAT on $24.99 plus an £8.00 collection fee). If Comply had disclosed the $4.99 shipping fee then the VAT would have been higher.

While waiting for the shipment I received an email from Comply admitting they had sent out faulty product in which the foam was not properly glued to the core. So for a week or so I worried that I was going to be paying a fortune for a useless product and then pay more fees when they shipped replacements. Luckily my pairs seem okay.

After using a lot of Ali Tips and using my Charjens for the last two weeks my Comply Tips just arrived 2 days ago.
The Foam feels much better and the Medium Tips are fitting my ear canal perfect. I press them together and let them expand for a few seconds.

I am very happy with my comply foam tips. The best ones so far for me. I will stick with them. Glad I bought a 3 pack mediums :)

Yeah no clue if it matters that the 3 pack are all of the same size or the sample pack but I have only tried 1 pair so far as i bought the 3 Large pack so far no problems.

Update: I spoke with Charjens, next month they are going to release new colors and being able to order size by choice. I only need the large tips.

As with everything earphones and AirPods, the Comply fit seems to be a very personal thing. For me, the stock silicon AirPod Pro tips work themselves out of my ears and need constant adjustment even just sitting still. Running with them was a chore as sweat made the silicon tips even more slick (so I had been running with my AirPods 2, which hang in my ears and don’t move a millimeter). The Comply tips have changed my AirPods Pro experience 100% for the better. I have run ~30 miles with them over the last 6 days and haven’t had to touch them once. I’m very happy with the Comply tips.

For me personally, the Comply tips are the only foam tips that fall out on a run, even the cheap ones from eBay don’t do that.

In general I don’t think any of the foam tips that have been released are 10/10 products and one part of me says that I should ditch the AirPods Pro because Apple’s tips should just work and they don’t. But the convenience of AirPods Pro is just too much to give up.

My hope is that Apple supplies or sells a perfected foam tip with the AirPods Pro 2 or whatever they end up being called. I am almost certain Apple is looking at it.

My other complaint which is somewhat alleviated by tips that do stay in my ears, is that the AirPods Pro have a design flaw where the microphone for noise cancelling gets bunged up with wax or whatever else and the only fix is to use Bluetack on it every week or two.

I didn’t meant to make this into a rant, I just think in general that the AirPods Pro is a good if flawed product and none of the third party tips have made it the product it should have been out of the box. The best for me, has been the CharJen but they seem to receive mixed reviews around here so take what you will from that. What I will say is that I’ve used Comply tips for years on other earphones and never had an issue, they’ve always been fantastic and stayed in my ears. So I don’t come from a position of not liking their previous products; it is quite the contrary.

So if I was to be brutally honest, I’d probably avoid all foam tips and the AirPods Pro if they don’t fit your ears but if you had to choose, I would suggest the CharJen.

they do seem to be “unfinished”
The first set of AirPods I was very impressed with but got a refund on my pros
I’d hazard a guess that Apple will fit the next ones with some form of little in ear or over ear clips that fit in case

Just ordered a set so will hopefully find out next week.

I have both the Comply and CharJen and admit to being disappointed with both

Just watched this YT'er who seems wayyyy into IEM's. You know he's serious when he whips out the "IEM box" ?.

So yah he gave it a thumbs up, so reckon it's worth a shot. Ordering now.

Thanks for the headsup and let us know what you think when they arrive.

Hmm, i have to say im impressed but for different reasons. The Dekoni feel more steady in the ear to me. Meaning they grip in my ear better and feel more secure or feel like they will hold the seal better.

However, the comply, just as i had hoped after the pic several posts up are taller than the Dekoni.

Out of interest which Dekoni size are you using? I wasn't sure so just ordered the sample pack now. This gives one 3 sizes to choose from. So, it begs the question, would a larger size would also be deeper?

On a side note, One tidbit I read on by a reviewer on a hifi forum, said the dekoni used a stiffer foam, and he was able to just "shove it ear" unlike the Comply foam that needed squeezing first. If true, thats a big win for was ease of use, IMO.

I want to know about Dekoni but... 30 minute video for a review? TL;DW. A review with substantial details to compare with Charjens, and Comply... that would have been good enough.

So far it does not seem that Comply is as good that people claim and that Charjens is better. I'm sure theres some legit audiophile that can easily compare all the options.

Haha IKR. Fully agree.

Video Speed Controller literally changed my life for the better. I now avg 2.5x-3x speed per video (started at 1.5x). That plus skipping around maybe spent 5 minutes on that guy and got 80% of the content.

Amazon has them with prime shipping for $12.99.

I am not sure how Amazon USA ship to the U.K. but my worry is you will still end up paying U.K. VAT of 20% of the goods+shipping price plus £8 VAT Collection fee.
