I wanted to love the note 7 but that lag tho! Chrome is practically unusable on many websites that are choppy as hell when scrolling up and down. Beautiful phone but the lag ruins the experience.
Same here. I couldn't stand the lag on the Note 7. Comparing it with my IPhone 7+ is night and day. The iPhone 7+ is a beast. Super snappy. No lag whatsoever.
Enjoy your limited iPhone and it's limited abilities. I've owned iPhones since the first one, and the Note 7 is just a better phone. Apps will cause lag because the Note 7 has real multitasking and keeps things running. The operator creates the lag, not the phone.

Not everybody needs to run 5-20 apps at once though. There seems to be a common misconception on this forum that every suffers from a limited iPhone. I moved from Android myself and have learned there are certainly trade off for both OS's. The Note 7 is undoubtedly a great phone and if the user prefers Android, they will naturally prefer it. I prefer iOS though and no other phone can compete with that for obvious reasons. FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud, iTunes backup are all Apple services that I am impressed with enough to buy the iPhone. It's just personal preference and I know only too well what the alternatives offer.
Nobody here is forced to buy a certain product. We all spend our money on what we prefer so no amount of feeling sorry for others choices is going to make a blind bit of difference.

Unless Apple made huge improvements to iOS 10 which I haven't tried Safari browser scrolling is slow as F on iPhone 6S Plus running iOS 9.x compared to a four year old Android device.
It's still a bit stutter full on the ip7+ I used, not too bad though. iOS 10 isn't really much improved on the surface IMO, at least for the way I used my iPhone. Really the main difference I saw were the addition and refinement of very functionally inferior widgets. Once again this is how I used my iPhone, I'm not saying iOS10 hasn't been improved, it just wasn't apparent to me.
Are you sure what you perceive as slow scrolling isn't the fact iOS is designed to scroll at a slower speed than Android? Like it also has a 'tap to top' feature whereas Android doesn't, but it has back button capability.
We must be well into double figures the amount of times you've made this claim and I've witnessed on a few occasions now people like MRU explain this to you, the last of which I actually thought had finally got through to you. Then again I think you know the answer but your comment gives you a n element of enjoyment reeling in the responses.
My iPhone 6S has not suffered from slow scrolling on either iOS 9 or iOS 10. My old iPhone 6 didn't either.
I've found it to be laggy too, Safari is a joke currently IMO, it doesn't format all websites properly and if you rotate the screen it can be buggy sometimes and if you want to put text in a box it'll stick the cursor in the middle of the screen! To me it's nothing more then the usual buggy mess first new iOS release, no doubt the updates to follow will fix it all?
I should also add for some who knows what random reason the keyboard keeps popping up for a split second when I do things like go back and forth on this websites pages? Buggy...

It's because people don't care to research and find the APP causing the issue. I had lag after setting up mine, and I found the apps and disabled them or uninstalled them. I no longer have any lag.
Funny that, my Note 7 has no lag either....
I keep looking but I just ain't seeing.
Got Package Disabler Premium and killed all the useless carrier installed apps and the "lag" is gone.
No root needed either.
A pure TouchWiz setup is pretty smooth.
It's only when the carriers are allowed to flood their phones with garbage apps is when it drags it down.

Depends on where you live. Over here carriers don't do the bloatware/customization BS, so my Note 7 should be fine out of the box once it arrives.
I'm on windmobile in Canada and also have no carrier added apps. The back of my Note 7 doesn't say Note 7. It just says Samsung.
Mine is lag free for no money at all, no apps or bloatware disabled. Although I don't think I'd sweat $1.99, but I guess we all have different means.

A new phone (with a new and improved CPU/GPU and more RAM) running the iOS version that it came this better than older phones run a newer iOS version means planned obsolescence? Not just plain old basic reality and progression? When you hear hoofbeats, think zebras, and only zebras.
(What's with the weird spacing and periods still? Makes that so much harder to read.)
I'm using iOS 10 on an iPhone 6S and it's very snappy and fluid to use. The phone is brand new but the hardware is technically a year old yet handles the latest version brilliantly.

Honestly, all things considered I think the Note 7 as a phone is a much better piece of tech, and much more impressive than anything Apple has done on the mobile front in a very long time.
Its a real shame there are what I consider to be genuine safety concerns with the Note 7, because the iPhone 7 Plus is still effectively the exact same feel and look of Apple's flagship 2014 device whereas the Note 7 has grown leaps and bounds since Samsung's flagship 2014 device....Jet Black is nice and all, but the phone is more or less the same design...was nice and fresh in 2014, now it feels quite dated.
Internally yes the 7+ is a big difference from the 6+, but so is the Note 7 from the Note 4...
That said, I would still go with the iPhone 7+ just due to the questionable battery issues surrounding the Note 7.
At the end of the day the 7+ is also, in its own way, probably the best phone on the market currently....that factored in with the safety issues surrounding the Note 7 (even the new Note 7) should trump any quibbles about which phone is a superior tech device because in this case it doesn't matter... just go with the iPhone 7+
