Nah, some of them have OCD and can't let things go.

"Dude. Dude, it's only a few things blowing up a day. Let it go man"

It's probably just as well the sales figures for the Note 7 were laughable or this would be a much bigger issue.

That's completely insane that Samsung hasn't done a "official" recall and that customers are STILL unaware the recall even exists. That's so sloppy of them to not send out emails or a text OR ANYTHING to all customers as soon as it began.

Insane but not unexpected. Your local friendly chaebol are not known for their high standards of behaviour.

ROFLMAO. This is the first you've heard of this??? It's been all over the media: tv, radio, newspaper and internet.

Reading comprehension issues? Where did he say it's the first he's heard of it? He said Samsung haven't actually issued an official consumer recall, which they haven't.

No it's not the first I've heard of it. But reading the article Feenician posted was the first I heard it wasn't an official recall and that there are Note 7 customers are still unaware of the recall.

Lacking analytical thinking skills? The tone of the post says it all.

This is pretty desperate non-sequitur garbage right here

Please do explain what about the "tone" (lol) of that post says its the first he's heard of the recall.

We're both in Canada and I know we were told to return to our devices to the carriers or whomever and get the Note replaced.

By what channel of communication? Now, what of you'd sold your Note 7 to me? Would you have informed me it's a time bomb? What if I don't follow tech news - most people don't.

Lacking analytical thinking skills? The tone of the post says it all. Then again, it's getting late. Which sleep deprivation does funny things to people.

Are you just going to repeat this same garbage in broken English? It really shows you've got nothing.

making inflammatory and baiting comments is trolling. ever been banned? keep it up, you will see what it's like laddy.

Ah, the "My posts are garbage and everyone can see it. I'm going to cry to the mods" strategy. Be my guest.

If you were hoping to sell these pieces of crap in this thread you really would have served that cause better by just not posting.

I have been torn this last week or so. I have the note 5 had the note 4, usually i got back and forth year after year but lately i feel like i will miss a lot of the android functionality.

The notification system. OK Google, the spen which i use quiet a bit. love making my icons smaller, throwing an icon pack on it and taking off the names under the apps and rearranging the icons in a certain pattern. Gmail and all other google services implications, fast charging. Both at home and in a car.The display, and the camera.

Even simple things like changing the text tone and ringtone to what i want ( with ease ) Just changed my text sound to the periscope notification sound.

But after a while i get tired of starring at the same thing which is why i usually bounce back and forth year after year. I was hopping allo would be out before any launches.

AHHHH!

As someone who owned the Note7 up until this week coming from an iPhone 6s Plus, I can not recommend the Note 7 as you wil be taking a notable step back in real world performance and battery life (like a good bit). At first the performance hiccups I tried to ignore but after taking it on a trip and letting my wife even try it out to convince her to come over, it became more apparent. Mind you this is on the snapdragon version as well. I will say the s7edge performs well but still not as smooth (it's currently my main driver until the iPhone 7 gets here)

Not sure what you consider "with ease" but it's fairly simple to change and add custom ringtones and notification tones on an iPhone. Just convert audio the file in iTunes to AAC and then literally just change the .m4a extension to .m4r, add the changed to .m4r file into iTunes and it will automatically show up as a ringtone and then sync. Your phone will see them as an option for ringtones and text/other customizable sound options. I've been doing this for pretty much my entire iPhone life (since the 3G)

Customizing icons and such is definitely a perk to Android. Google services are available on iOS. Fast changing is for the most part possible if you use an iPad charge brick (all newer iDevices have it enabled to do so.) Is it as quick? I'm pretty sure no, but it's still 1 1/2 - 2 hours from 1-100. At the end of the day all anyone needs is just enough to get through with a quick 30mins charge till they get home and both achieve that.

So, not due to the recall, but outside of that, what would be a reason to get the iPhone 7 plus over the Note 7?

I currently have the Note 7 and do really like it, but it has been recalled and I have the ability to switch to the iPhone 7 Plus. I seem to bounce back and forth between Android and iOS and can never feel fully satisfied with either one.

The Note 7 will get fixed, so wondering what reasons you think are the main reasons to go with the 7 plus over the Note 7 since the Note 7 on paper, and even in some hardware features are more impressive than the 7 Plus?

Note 7 has a better screen, wireless and fast charging, better waterproofing. The camera system may end up being a wash, although I do like the telephoto lens on the new 7 Plus. Just wondering if there were reasons you'd pick the 7 plus over the Note 7 besides saying it doesn't explode. Looking for some constructive feedback. I'm getting the itch to come back to iPhone, but not really unsatisfied with the the Note 7.

Thanks everyone!
Head phone jack.

The sheep obviously lives under a rock and intentionally keeps away from all things (news and etc) Samsung.

You're afraid of flying and want a good excuse not to.

You don't like your car and want to be able to claim insurance when it's reduced to a charred frame.
