Be careful. I didn’t watch, but does that mean screen on time or overall “usage” including standby?

Edit: It said 1.5 hours more than the X. From most real world sources I’ve seen, the 8 plus got a decent amount more than the X did. So, the X Plus should get a marginal amount more battery life than the current X did. Correct me if I’m wrong here.
Correcting you because you're wrong. It said 1.5hrs more than iPhone 8 Plus
You're mixing what they said up.

iPhone Xs gets 30min more battery life than iPhone X
iPhone Xs Max gets 1.5hrs more battery life than iPhone X (corrected from Xs)
iPhone Xr gets 1.5hrs more battery life than iPhone 8 Plus - (this one will have the longest battery life ever on an iPhone easy, no contest)

The Chinese phone with the two SIM slots looked awesome, whereas the eSIM thing elsewhere requires your carrier to buy in (and presumably, both SIMs to be from the same carrier, in the UK at least). My carrier for my personal phone in the UK is unlikely to take part.

Other than that - incremental stuff which is good really as no need to worry about upgrading my X. The bigger screen is cool but I think the current X is about the limit of what I want in a phone, and I always have my iPad Pro if I need a much bigger screen for anything.

The Xr will appeal to many who were put off by the £999 price tag last time around I guess (albeit LCD), but there will be many who want smaller sized phones and they seem to be gone now sadly.

The watch on the other hand, is tempting. I'm still on the original watch and I like the extra display size although I am terrified that I'd put it on for the first time and then immediately tell me I need urgent hospital attention!

So the regular (original) iPhone X is discontinued? I don't see it anywhere on apple.com, only the new Xs models.

I need the Chinese phone. Having my Irish and US SIM cards both working in one device would be wonderful, not sure the eSIM will do what I need.

the the "s" year... this is probably the most disappointing "s" year ever. If you really want a bigger X then thats the only plus. Other than that might as well wait until iPhone 11 since you're really not missing much if you skip the "s"

Not sure why anyone is disappointed unless they wanted a smaller phone. It was pretty well known the upgrades would be a 6.5” phone and a small spec bump. What were people looking for that are let down?

Sounds good, but still not going to come close to the SOT capability of many of the top android phones. Does it say how many mah the x plus battery is?

Seems very disappointing. The leaks truly covered everything. Not even a "One more thing..."
The Max is nice. The size may give me reason to upgrade from my X (if i can convince myself to pay that premium), but there's nothing that'll make me absolutely "NEED" it on launch day. The PPI wasn't upgraded, no Pro Motion, nothing really exclusive besides processor and camera upgrades.

I must have missed it in the keynote, but looking at the Apple store it seems that you can only get the stainless steel watch if you take the Cellular version of the watch, which is a bit annoying.

I'd like a bigger screen but can live with iphone X another year. With 5G on the way I know next year i'll definitely be upgrading. Apple really needs some features like pencil support.

I'm not disappointed... just relieved that I'm not tempted to upgrade my iPhone X! :D

Actually this was a pretty significant announcement for certain demographics: Those who can benefit from dual SIM, those who want a larger Plus-Sized X, and those who desire the performance improvements for things like gaming and AR.

Now the Apple Watch S4 on the other hand... that stole the show. I will definitely be upgrading my 3-year-old S0.

Anyone who is bummed out and believed the insanely low price rumors has no one to blame but themselves.

I have an iPhone X and after watching the presentation, I have zero desire to upgrade this year. There's almost always something I see in the keynote that makes me want to get the latest and greatest, but that didn't happen this time. (Also, R.I.P. iPhone SE, but we all knew that was coming.)

Completely agree with you. Not one feature I saw that makes me want to upgrade, and I am like you in that I always find something to make me want to upgrade. Not this year. I like to have the latest and greatest, but the X is still pretty latest and greatest in my opinion.

I use my camera a lot on my iPhone X, but I am not a professional photographer so those few new features with the camera, I will not use. Hell, I probably do not even use my iPhone X camera to its fullest potential.

No second-generation FaceID? Come on!

I just have a feeling that next years OLED iPhone(s) will have 2nd Gen. FaceID, and more features to really separate it from the iPhone X and iPhone Xs.

This will be the first year I have never upgraded (if I stick to my word and do not buy it just for the sake of buying it) as I have had every iPhone (or variant of one model)...iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s, 7 Plus, iPhone X.

I know "S" year models are just spec upgrades, but geez, that was a little underwhelming.

Just my two cents.

no face id 2, no pro motion, no 5g no deal for me .....

The uneven speaker holes on the bottom are making me mad! where is the god damn symmetry !
