All right, I looked up the dimensions of the Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box and it doesn't look good. http://blogs.zdnet.com/Apple/?p=1260 here is the dimensions of the macbook air box. Its short abotu an inch. This isnt looking good at all. Maybe I'm wrong?
I have shipped a MBA in the box, it can be adjusted to fit perfect, lots of tape is the key! It does fit, so do not worry, Mine was a Rev B that I shipped! Its about 1/2 inch short, but if you pack it right it does fit shipped mine two weeks ago :)

Now he has MBP's.

Yup. I guess the MBA is the most recent posting.

Well, that is a Rev A box.. :D

trying to stay positive here ;)

NO. Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam. Scam.

So somehow someone got his hand onto $50,000 of products?

10x $1200
10x $2000
10x $2000

Somehow all auctions ending around the same time.
Think about it and read the other threads on scams.

It is a immediate payment. I read all the other threads, I just think that I am protected enough by PayPal and eBay. I hope it works out, thanks for the reassurance about the box, lol. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. I looked up the address he sent, it is a real business, an odd business to ship from, but the phone number doesn't work :(

"Stop" would imply I fell for them before. I am an educated consumer and took a calculated risk. I do not appreciate your negativity towards something that is not even complete or shown it to be a scam. Not all great deals are scams. Unlike the other one you linked to, he accepts paypal with a verified seller. Bugout, I hope it goes well for you as I hope it does for me. /end rant

but

How could an item be sold for less than cost (this must be less than cost).

Even if it was closeout it wouldn't be this cheap, and these are new.

The only possible answer besides rip-off is that they are stolen which first of all is very unlikely, and then if they were you wouldn't want them (I hope)

As long as you pay via PayPal, your money is 100% SAFE! The whole eBay and PayPal method protects the buyers... and sellers too.

If it somehow is a scam, you will get your money back from PayPal. It's a pretty good guarantee.

Good luck.

That's a bad outlook. You don't want to encourage crime and you certainly don't want finance scam artists.

Best to use your brain. (it's cheaper) :D

We do not know the actual cost of an Apple computer, just approximations. Take a look at their yearly and quarterly profits. They are astounding considering how many computers they sell, which is a small part of the whole computer segment. Thats how it could be sold at less than "cost". There is one answer to that question. They (Apple) does not sell "wholesell" to their authorized dealers, thats why they pass the buck to us. I dont care how he got them, as long as they are legit. I think that people have done more odd and stupid things then this one before, so its not unheard of.

Was anything said that was encouraging? I am reaching out for more hope that this is real, as it would save me so much money, lol.
He answered the phone (yea!)
I asked him about the macbooks, (in hebrew) he called Yoshi, He did not know I understand hebrew, He said his feedback should start coming in this weekend, so I asked if i could stop by and buy a few he said yes.. so I told him I would be down next week, so we will see what happens Monday.

I have been both buyer and seller with eBay and PayPal combination. PayPal guarantees the transaction WHEN BUYING AT EBAY. I agree, PayPal without eBay can lose your money in a hurry. The best way to buy is on eBay, never Craig's List, and pay via Credit Card through PayPal. That's a three way guarantee. And, ONLY if it's advertised as Brand New and Sealed Box.

Cheers.

Like i said before, if you want to know if he actually has the macbooks and if they are NOT stollen, ask for the serial number of the machine, then check it on apples site.

I understand your premise, but there's something wrong here

1. If you get the feeling something is shady--refrain from involving yourself, just because someone else will foot the bill. It only supports the scammers, and encourages them

2. Why go through the DRAMA of having to track down your money?
