The 6800 came. I can not get an output from the USB-C cable port. Works fine on DP with either a bidirectional cable or the Belkin Charge cable. Did I buy the wrong cable from Amazon:

No output with either the TB3 cable or the USB-C cable

Edit - Just bought this cable - Description says "video". Didn't realize there were different USB-C cables❓

USB-C is a s**tshow. Why they thought it was a good idea to allow such crap cables in the spec is anyone's guess, and makes buying cables a challenge.

That cable is only USB 2.0, and won't support any of the alternate modes of USB-C including DisplayPort. From the Amazon description:

It is a charging and data cable not Thunderbolt 3 cable so it can not output video.

Anyone able to create an 8K timing (any refresh rate) on AMD 6000 series using SwitchResX that the macOS accepts? (I don't care if your display doesn't actually support 8K).

Usb C cable from back of the LG 5k tb3 port to the 6900xt usb c. Tb3 cable did not work, but the monitor supplied usb c cable works in both os
Did you try a 5K custom timings starting from 30Hz? Someone said they got 39Hz working. 5K60 would require two DisplayPorts and a Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 add-in card.

New cable arrived and all is now good. I sold my RX5700XT on eBay. I will be selling my Belkin Charge cable in the marketplace.

Any of you running Boot Camp? I was informed that with 11.4, you can now install Windows on an NVMe via PCI slot. I have one ready to go, but Boot Camp assistant doesn't show it as an option.

I have and did, Windows 10 on a 1TB mSATA in a PCI adaptor (also has a 1TB NVMe drive for search disks). Works great!

Side note, it’s kinda funny they are still using such old school looking hard drive icons for this stuff in Big Sur.

Oh wait… so you have Windows on a regular SSD in a PCI adapter? (Not an NVMe) maybe that’s the problem? I am trying to put it on a NVME in a PCI slot

I don’t think so, I’m pretty sure I had the option of both the m.2 SSD and the NVMe SSD, but only once I’d upgraded to 11.4 beta.

Edit: Yep, I get all my internal drives (Apple SSD, m.2 SSD, NVMe SSD) showing as options in Boot Camp Assistant. Currently running the latest 11.5 beta. It wouldn't let me get this far if I had any USB or Thunderbolt storage devices connected.

Ok - I wonder why my NVMe is not showing up as an option - I am stumped. I have no additional storage devices plugged in.

Never mind. Got Windows to install successfully on the NVMe. BUT - I cannot install the Adrenaline drivers for my Vega FE. It says it does not see the card, but it's actually installed. Currently have my LG 5K via USB-C and the ACD 30" via the Vega FE Display Port - there is no screen showing on the ACD display. Any suggestions?

^^^^I read your earlier post and it was my impression that anything less than 330mm would fit. Thanks for the clarification.

But, as I posted I needed the USB-C because I'm using the Apple LG display with a TB only port.

I thought 310mm was the limit. Will 330mm fit? I could not find this info from the Mac Pro 2019 manual hence I`m asking.
