And the best buy lines begin....

I checked before coming home and there were 0 people in line. Still sticking with my original plan of going there at 6 am, staying in my car until a line forms or until they open :)

I have to admit I am enjoying the time alone watching a movie on my iPhone and checking the boards. My girlfriend is going to stop by later and bring me some food. I might have to have her bring a beer as well haha
 
I don't understand. why can't you just preorder and sleep on your warm bed at home. why all of these lines when there are plenty.

even if you get it first, you will be so exhausted and have no energy left to play with it. We, pre-order people, get a good sleep, have breakfast, open the door and there is the box in front. full energy to play all day and night.

I'd laugh my ass off if you got arrested for open containers outside best buy.

Originally I thought I would wait. But after moving some of my dev project over in the simulator, I decided I had to have one. It is the weekend and I am young.

If I would have pulled the trigger on day one and pre-ordered, I would be doing what you plan to do.
 
with so many preorders and reservations, I doubt there will be MASSIVE lines, although a few nuts (you :) ) will be there.
 
I just went by my local best buy on way home from seeing TITANS Great movie by the way and 0 people in line...I have a 64 gig on the way via UPS but my dad and bro want one now....Im thinking about going up there around 2 or 3 and just w8 in my car till line forms...This way I can get them an Ipad and get my accessories (which was my first idea on hitting best buy). Both Dad and bro said while in line get me one...My 13 nephew going to meet me at 6 so we can get two. Atleast that is the plan at the moment.

Is touching a 9" screen and using an os that you been using for the past 3 years that important?

Apple said it there is plenty to go around why even bother to camp out?

i HAVE an ipad 64 waiting for me till 3pm. I can sleep, rest, workout in the morning, have some funwith my son take a nap go to the apple store pick it up and live my new ipad life.

Why did you guys not bother to reserve IT WAS FREE!!!
 
Why didnt you all just get it shipped to your house? I will have mine in my hands at 10PM and I'll be comfortable sitting at home in bed with it in the morning.

What if 30 other people decide to do the same thing? Imagine the mad dash to the front of the store once the first person shows up...
 
Just left the Best Buy i'm going to be getting mine from and there is only one person there. Needless to say I think i'll get there around 6am to wait.
 
hi guys, first time posting in this forum. i actually live in vancouver canada, and im wondering if anyone is using their best buy credit card to buy the ipad and will you be allow to have 6 months no interest no payments?

They had better hope Steve Jobs doesn't see that. You know how he likes to keep tight security on these things. Especially brand new products that launch. That's why I was surprised when Apple stated that Best Buy would be allowed to sale these ipads on launch day. Didn't Jobs have extra security at almost every Apple store for the original launch of the iphone.
 
Why do you want to waste time outside in the cold and wait to buy your iPad when you could have gotten it shipped to you? I bet i'll get my iPad before you will. lol
