good luck to you. Spent too much time in front of that bbuy for a black friday to ever want to do an overnight again. I doubt the crazy hot dog truck guy will come by to help you at 5 am so hope you brought food =).

The best buy out in Arizona will have 180 in stock. It is a huge apple outlet.

Which location?

I just stopped by my nearest Best Buy about 15 minutes ago and there was absolutely no one there. I think stopping by at 8am should be ok...at least I hope.

I also just checked a best buy on the way home from Clash of the Titans and there was nobody there. But the weather outside is awful - 40 degrees, some rain, and strong winds.

isn't that normal weather for seattle?

If you dont mind me asking, where did you get your information from? I have seen the official SKU stock list, and theres not a single store in the company getting more than 90 total tomorrow. We are getting in another shipment later in the next two weeks, but thats it

At my local apple store (Indianapolis) security is kicking everyone off the property until 7 am, right now is 6. I'm at a steak n shake passing the time. I think I'll leave early and then drive around the area so I can be there at 7.

I was at Best Buy until about 2:30CST. Around that time, no one was here. I decided to go home and sleep a bit. Just got back at about 5:40 and there is one person here.

Now I have coffee, so things are good.

COuldnt sleep much so I can up around 3 and only one other guy at my location but I have been here the longest. Im in Texas in NRH. 3 hrs to go and very surprised not more people here. I think people pre reserved online from apple or having them shipped. OH well better safe than sorry if they happen to run out and have no real other plans for today but to w8 on my other one from UPS

Drove by my best buy at 3:15 and not one person there. I think I will try again around 6. But so far I like my chances of getting one today. Hope that continues.

currently got the greatest setup. i am posted up in the back of my jeep, there is 1 other person here. WiFi is pumping. its awesome. i feel bad for all the people in the line at apple stores. f that. although i did that for the 3 iPhones haha.

HAHA that is so funny I did the same thing...Got my WYWI pumping right along working like a charm on Mac book pro just chilling to open...Still me and one other sitting in the car...Not to bad since not fighting the apple store...My 64 gig is out for delivery via UPS also. Going to be a fun day helping my dad learn his and taking it in...GOOD TIMEs

At my local apple store (Indy) we got a live band that will perform for all the people waiting in line.

Just walked by a busy best buy in NYC on the way to the gym. One person in line and he said he got there about an hour ago.

BBuy, Rockford, IL

So I just showed up at the BBuy in Rockford, IL 6:45 local time. Only 3 cars here when I pulled in. I have no idea how many this location has, I didn't even decide until last night around 11 o'clock, so I didn't get to call. We'll see though, 3 hours to wait I do believe.

I don't understand. why can't you just preorder and sleep on your warm bed at home. why all of these lines when there are plenty.

even if you get it first, you will be so exhausted and have no energy left to play with it. We, pre-order people, get a good sleep, have breakfast, open the door and there is the box in front. full energy to play all day and night.

Because it's fun...once in a while...I am old :)

Went to the midnight opening of Modern Warfare 2 mainly because I had never been to one and my daughter's boyfriend was going. Said "What the hell!" and I have to admit it was fun sharing in the 'herd excitement'....but yeah...got in about 2am and only played for an hour...then had to get some sleep. I can see why people do it...and let's not forget...Apple lines get on TV too!

All these cars started pulling up. The other guy here was getting nervous and almost got out and stood in the rain.

Turns out just about all of them were workers. Still just two, maybe three.

Atlanta Best Buy

I just pulled up to my local BB and there were 5 cars. Another guy pulled up and slowly but surely, they all drove away. I guess they think the supply will be fine. Now it's me, a guy who was here originally.

About 25 people here in Kalamazoo, MI.

It's weird how some locations have zero people waiting, and other have a line. Are the critics right that this release isn't going as hyped/as well as Apple would like it to?

I'm not sure I buy that preorders change the game. Xbox and PS3 had preorders and yet there were lines everywhere. Iphone too if I remember right.

Hopefully everything is fine, but I want this product to succeed.

Demand may be weak. What would you expect?. We are hard core Apple/tech junkies. These devices are niche and expensive. It's not like a phone (which you really need) or an mp3 player which is half the price, or a computer which is a staple.

The fact that the demand is much lower than the hype would lead you to believe, means it is great for those of us who are averse to lines.

As far as Apple selling enough of these to sustain their stock prices or continue with development , we shall see.
