Ok so if I download this app on the 28th, will I have to download it again and pay for it again with the ipad or is a one time deal for both the iphone and ipad?

Well, we are not sure. But it is possible for the developer to make the purchase stand for both versions.

Looks like MLB at bat 2010 will now be available on March 2nd (according to my at Bat 2009 app).

Yeah, I'm psyched. I subscribed to mlb.tv hoping the season starts like last year's ended. Between that and Slingplayer for the blacked out games, I won't miss a thing. :)

Spring training games begin tomorrow, so it's possible that video feeds may be available right away.

i'm not liking the trend of raising the price $5.00 every year. there was a big jump in features from 2008 to 2009 so i could understand going to the $9.99 price, but from what i have seen so far there isn't much to speak of in 2010 and it seems more like a move just to see how much people are willing to pay rather than being justified by new features. unless of course they are planning to offer all game video as part f the price and not a $0.99 purchase

So they're raising the price from $9.99 to $14.99? I don't know what new features are being included in the '10 edition, but I liked the way the '09 app was laid out and functioned.

They never raised prices. The 2008 version came out when the OS 2.0 software came out in early July, so they only charged for half a year. Last year was the first full year of the app, hence the price difference.

the 2008 version of the software was a joke, the reason they charged $4.99 wasn't because it was half a season it was because there was no functionality other than to give you the score, there wasn't even a box score. they made significant improvements in hte 2009 version and that was the reason given for the price increase and it was well worth it, this year's version from what i have seen as far as features offers nothing to justify a $5.00 increase, it is their right to do so, and i'll still be buying this year's but this trend is disturbing

Tommorow seems to be the day last years at bat is removed from the app store.

It says on their website and on the description for the free MLB at Bat app that the price for MLB at Bat 2010 will be 14.99

Where i just looked it says nothing?

It looks like they removed the original MLB at Bat from the appstore, I can't find it anymore. But on the description for it, it said look for MLB at Bat 2010 on March 2nd for $14.99

I thought $10 was a great price point and I don't mind paying that. $15 makes me cringe (though I'll probably end up doing that too, bastards). Of course, it's completely disappeared at this point.

I nth the folks who wail about the blackout. Like I really want my iphone to be my primary device for watching baseball. I use it when I'm out in the world, or at a meeting or anywhere I'm not by TV for which I already pay for cable. Doesn't the video stream still show the ads on the network being streamed? The audio portion does.

Anyhow...1 month and a couple of days until the regular season starts...so close!

The video is different, they cut away during commercial breaks and any non-game activities. They wont show pre-game activities and post game stuff. The audio like you said is different, they will play the whole thing.

So where's the 2010 app? We're just hours away from the first game of the 2010 preseason, and it's nowhere to be found. I wonder if it's been delayed again, at the last minute.

it doesnt even say coming soon anymore on the mlb.com website

I was first scheduled to be released on Feb. 28th, then MLB pushed it back to today. So I wouldn't be surprised if the date is pushed back yet again.
