I have been on a two year cycle with the Watch so I’ll probably be getting a Series 6. The always on display last year was tempting but not quite enough to get me to upgrade from my S4. So processor improvements, better sensors and the always on display this year should be a welcome improvement.

Dates for Series 5 watches are slipping towards the end of next week in the U.K. store at the moment, maybe a sign of things to come?

The AOD is nice to have but it chews through about 30% of the battery over 16 hours of wear in my experience. I’m on my second S5 and the percentage tallies up on both. I’ve turned this feature off now and don’t really find that I miss it as the screen wakes up when I look at it anyway.

If the battery could be made to last 2-3 days it would be an instant buy for me.

I have the S4 now, so waiting to see what new features it comes with. If they have the S5 at $199 like before, I may jump for that instead and save some $

On a series 4 right now, not really seeing any need to want to upgrade. This watch perfectly meets my needs.
Apple isn’t so much about “need” all the time as it is about having the best user experience. :)

One can get by with polyester blend bed sheets. However, one can also have a dreamy, body caressing experience with silk sheets. I didn’t need silk but it gives me the best experience with bed sheets. Extrapolate that same thought process with tech and you will see I am right. :D

Tentatively. I'm on a Series 3 that my sister gave me when she no longer used it. I only use the fitness tracking, so I'm torn between something like a fitbit, or the Apple Watch.

There’s not a huge experience change between watches though after just two years. My series 5 is identical to the series 4 and the series 3 still offers a very good user experience. The watch is like the iPad in regards to users not really needing to upgrade annually. In my experience a lot of people I know change their watches after 3 or so years and iPads a bit longer. Phones tend to be upgraded after 2 or 3 years due to contracts ending and general trends, although we are seeing the lifecycles increase on those too.

I have learned with the watch over my 4 years of owning them that you don’t actually need the current model for it to be super useful. My series 5 has a few extra cool features than my series 2 did but I rarely even use them.

A lot of it also depends on how one uses the watch in his or her daily life. I went from a series 3 to a 5 and have been very impressed with the difference in use and enjoyment. I don’t see that happening with the series 6 but, I could be wrong. I am very happy at the moment with my series 5. Apple will need to wow me on the series 6.

I got the titanium model series 5 sooo immm no lol it was close to 1k. I want it to last me 4 years at the minimum and I got the extended warranty for it.

I’ve now decided since I’m going to be dropping $1500 on the 12 Pro Max, to wait until Christmas to upgrade my S4 to the S6 if it will be a good upgrade, otherwise I’ll hold onto my S4 until next year for the S7.

Interesting you say that, because I can achieve at least three days of battery life with ‘Hey Siri’ disabled, haptic feedback disabled, reduce the screen brightness, [I also have no third-party apps installed], Volume reduced, Raise-to-wake disabled, ect. It’s doable, and some may not want to disable some of those features I mentioned, but you can achieve three days of battery life with the right measures.

I had heard of people being able to get 2 days out of it before, but it’s the first time I’m hearing about 3 days :p it’s good to know that’s possible!
I would like it to be possible without having to be deactivating anything though, or at most the AOD!

Mostly likely yes. I have a series 4 SB SS. I'm thinking of going to go Titanium. All my apple watches have been black/gray. so I'm thinking of going the silver route. Worried though because my Space Black look brand new and worried how the silver will look after a year (or 2).
Thinking of going to the apple stores to check them out and get an idea on colors. Anyone been, how's its been to browse.

Yes. Had a series 2 since release. Was on the fence about upgrading this year (was very close last year) and all of a sudden my screen had too many cracks or something (there was nothing different that could or can be seen on the face, but apparently it was there) and it stopped working altogether. Sent it to Apple for repair, cost was $229. So using that for new watch instead.

If Apple offers a bigger screen and better battery life I’m upgrading for sure. I think a bigger screen that allowed for more complications would get tons of people to upgrade.

Otherwise I’m happy with my Series 5. Since it has a sapphire screen, it still looks like new.

Getting a replacement S4 44mm in the mail from AC+ today, selling it immediately, and going for the S6 regardless. It's upgrade year for me! Hanging onto my 11 Pro though.

Not related to the Watch, but I was in line at an Apple Store today and security told a couple people they're not allowing browsing; it was appointments only.

I'm not certain you could get 3-days with the watch off but that said why buy the watch if you turn everything off? There are cheaper options that will get close to this watch.

Me, I could get 1-1/2 days, without serious workouts and that was it for the watch. Too many times I wound up putting it on the charger in the middle of the day. Not sure about the difference between the 4 and 5 because the 4 could do 2 days and I had AOD off.

I'll probably get a 6 though. You can always eBay them or sell it direct to a 3rd party and get half the purchase back if I hate the battery. And, right now I kind of wish I had my 5 back. It looks like I'll be going lighter on the workouts for a bit and the AW is better for that than my Garmin.
