I feel very left out of Licat's post! Where's the love for the big bad barracuda?

So yeah, I clicked edit and finally got to see Cupid pop out of his fountain and strut around my town! Cool beans, was obviously wrong about that. There is some weird discrepancy with the figures though...for instance, red convertible guy is SUPPOSED to come with the mansion. Def some kinks for Booyah to work out.

There needs to be x3 gifts, I simply cannot keep up. Bridget, thanks for your gift, and for the other love I have been receiving from so many others. Keep in mind, you can always PM me and I will respond promptly. It may take me more time to find a forum post than a message sent directly.

Here's hoping that update comes soon and that it is EXTENSIVE.

What the WHAT???!!!

Okay. As you guys know I'm in the market for one last biz (for now). So, I got no more responses from more ppl in SoCal, so I was just on two ppls Pages that I have franchised from in the past. And this is what happened:

I was going to buy dream works: in the stats menu it was popularity 32k. I went to the town and touched the hands to franchise, on that screen, it was popularity 15k. I didn't franchise it and thought it was me, that I had misread it, even though I had looked at it in the past and I knew it was 32k....

So, I went to another persons town, and was going to buy their Edison, it was pop 27k on their stats menu. Hit the hands on their town page... It was 10k.

What the WHAT???!!! I was so careful to pay attention. What's going on? I didn't buy either of them.

Licat, thank you for the compliment on my town! It's very much a work in progress. I have a lot to improve, but am saving coins to either do something nifty or buy another piece of land.

It just the yellow edit button after you hit menu. Do you use it to move thing around in your town? When your in edit all the people and vehicles disappear.

I clicked the edit button then go back to the game. Still no Cupid in my town though I have two Cupid fountains...

YarnGoddess: Before I found this forum, I was playing on my own creating my version of an ideal town with lots of trendy eateries and shops. But playing that way required patience because my businesses were small and not popular, so revenue was slow. After discovering this forum, it influenced me and gave ideas how to gather wealth (wish it were real) quickly.
Eventually, I will need to discard the extra Stock Exchanges and condos and maybe even more, to make space so I can add trees and make my town better looking. While moving things around can be a bit tricky playing on a small screen of an iPod, it's one of the things I enjoy doing. Silly, isn't it? But your town is an example of what a nice town can look like. I can't wait to start remodeling.
I hope I'm not fussy sounding, but instead of coins, may I ask for peeps instead? Many thanks.

I am still a little confused as to how the location works, it seems buggy at times. I changed my location to New York, NY before booyah changed it. It was previously set to Vancouver, and my businesses there show the proper distance, but if I go visit a friend in the US, and try to franchise them it wants me to pay in bucks not cash. Can anyone clarify this?

Also, thank you to the many people who have franchised me in the last four days. I've had rapid growth because of it!!

but i'm observing mixer bar closely for days now and i can say that the decreasing has slowed down a bit.

Location Changing

Dhelsdon: I can only share what I've done when it comes to location changing. Especially since that "backdoor" function has changed how it worked when it was first discovered to how it works today. Member Barracuda Bay is one person that I believe has an understanding of it all.
I have a second location that was accidentally assigned by me when I was just learning MT2. If I knew what I know now, I would have chosen New York City, NY or perhaps Los Angeles, CA.
As of now, I am San Francisco with Paris, France as my second. I find I can still change my location, by turning off my iPod location services and revert by turning it back on. That is all I can do. Even with location services 'off', MT2 only recognizes those two locations for me. 29434232 Monstropolis

I guess I didn't realize that that was what you guys were talking about as far as pop dropping.... I though you meant overall pop dropping, not from stats to town page, instantly.

For ex.... I thought you meant, that Disneyland was dropping bit by bit daily.... Not that dream works would be several thousand different from one screen to the next.

Makes me wonder what the actual popularity is...? It's bs. And now I'm just kinda pissed. Lol

Being Annoyed by Booyah?

This may be an oversimplification, but I think of it this way: Booyah underestimated the players can be so clever on bending the rules to make so much in coins and bucks while the players overestimated Booyah that the game would have been more thoroughly thought out and not have so many gaps.
Booyah is probably scrambling like crazy to fill all the holes it can before the next update is released. To compound the problem, how is Booyah going to not totally turnoff its earlier wealthy players and yet make it equitable for the newer players? It has to be a big headache.

I thought that the stats shows the popularity of their particular franchise, at their particular level, or the maximum, overall popularity. Whereas when you click on the business to get your own version of the franchise, it shows the popularity YOU would get it at.... Doesn't that make sense?? Just a guess.

no, there's totally a glitch. it's like this:

when u go to a neighbour's town, u click on a business and u see a popularity. then u go to their stats and u see a different popularity. then u go back to the town view and u click on the business again and u see the same popularity in the stats, not the one u saw when u first came into the town.

Great idea, I would like that ability to see who has helped me out. 90% of the time when I see someone has gifted or franchised me, I've already used up my gifts or done my biggest purchases for the day.

I feel it's unfair that we don't have the option to record that info as lots of the time they are strangers who I don't remember.

I'm absolutely delighted that you like my town so much! That validates all the work I've done. It does indeed require patience, but I really don't mind. I'm confined to a chair (terminal illness), so when I'm not knitting (I'm a professional knitter), I play this game, a pet store, the pet version of this town, and a couple of others. This one is, by far, my fave. You'd think at 53 years old I'd have something better to do.

Yours not being picky at all in asking for peeps. I just sent you coins, I think, but when I send gifts tomorrow, I'll send you peeps.

I can't find who said that the playground is the property which supplied the ice cream truck, but I took a look at my town, realized I didn't have the children's playground (the first thing under "Community"), and bought it. Lo and behold, as soon as it finished building, the ice cream truck appeared! Hooray!

So there is the definitive answer. The playground gives the ice cream truck. Thank you to that person.

I bought 2,400.00 worth of high cornered hedges. When u rotate them or other items ( I have noticed) they don't rotate around 360 degrees. I am stuck for the time being with them......... I hope they work on that little problem.
Anyway, gracirgirl, I was working on my town until pieces didn't fit. That was like my first major move to do......I will ponder some more what to do. What to do?
