Anybody Playing My Town 2?

Great idea, I would like that ability to see who has helped me out. 90% of the time when I see someone has gifted or franchised me, I've already used up my gifts or done my biggest purchases for the day.

I feel it's unfair that we don't have the option to record that info as lots of the time they are strangers who I don't remember.

I don't get how Booyah can take the time to program all of these little holiday things, and even just had a little person in my town start asking for the football statue!! And they can't add levels??? Ridiculous. We've wasted thousands and thousands of stars on level 50, and they're programming football statues?? sheesh.

When they do update (or before), they should give everyone on level 50, at least 50 green bucks!

I watched the Kirk series, but I liked the Picard era better. Just my preference. However, I didn't like the episodes with Wesley Crusher (sorry Wil).

Anyways, I'm more or less just waiting to see what the upcoming update is going to have. I've got enough coins. Could always use bucks. I'm thinking of moving all my shops to a side and start rearranging my entire town....
I've been all out of gifts to give for 16 hours. Just another 7 1/2 more for another set of 5 to give....

Currently, 7x7 is all we get. We're hoping to get more land to work with for the upcoming update, but nothing is certain. A while back, it did cost bucks to open up land, but Booyah changed that to coins back in the January (?) update.

I've been franchised by a few people (thank u!!) for coins (which I need to expand) & I go to visit their town & I can't see "my" business in their town (narcissistic? ) & I don't see it... one town franchised at least 3 & I can't see my business name in their town,,,, could they have sold that quickly? they r still showing up franchised n my stats tho'. bug???

These games are terrible addicting, aren't they? I've literally lost sleep because chores needed to be done and instead I spent too much time checking and tapping.
A professional knitter, wow! Do you knit for people? Knitting patterns confuse me so I appreciate someone like you with the talent and skill to knit professionally.

Thanks, licat. I've accepted it, but there are times when its overwhelming. I also get really terrified sometimes, too.

LOL... addictive isn't the word for it! I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted trying to get my blocks and streets just so. It's like the quest for the ice cream truck. I've bought more crap that I really didn't want just to try and get it. I know I had that playground when I first started playing this thing a year or so ago, but I also know I didn't have that truck. It must have been like the elusive flying Cupid. I'm really hoping the new update takes care of the bugs.

If I could get my hands on the source code, I'd just have Mr. Goddess program it to give us all what we want.

I knit socks, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, sweaters, etc., for a company in Texas who raises buffalo and has their fiber spun into yarn. They've got a retail shop where my work is sold. I also do personal knitting for the owner. I've been doing this for 51 years (along with spinning, weaving, crocheting, sewing, etc.), so it's a part of me. I turned professional a couple of years ago. I'm also a retired pastry chef; I retired when I got too sick to work.

Off to check in and try to figure out what to do with that land. I'm thinking of putting in a wonder, but I haven't seen any pyramids around town lately...

Hello and thank-you! I just wanted to tell you how much you helped me tonight. It was after I was done reading your post and realizing how much I had let this game actually become an idol to me.. I'm not talking about "religion" or the Jesus that everyone says they love.. that wants us all to drive nice cars and have "our best life now".. No, I'm talking about the Jesus Christ of the Bible.. The one that really did live, really did die and rise again to pay the penalty for all the sins that we His beloved have committed, and still continue to commit each and every day.
I would love to be able to reach through and hug you! Maybe you already know Him..the real Him of the New Testament..not the one everyone says they love but really ignore..
But if you or any one else on here would like to know more about Him and how much it cost Him.. and "what was in the cup" that He prayed that night in the garden would "pass" from him(Matthew26:39) not just the physical pain but the "wrath of God" please find the sermons online and listen to parts 1&2 called "the depth of the Gospel" by a man named Paul Washer..not just the clips on u-tube that someone has put dramatic music to, but sit down with your Bible and listen to the real sermons.. Find out if you know Him..or if (like in my case) you have only been spending your life thinking you already knew him.
What a peace He gives ..(John 14:27).. a peace that "passes understanding" (Philippians 4:7) a place to rest "in Christ Jesus" .. where although our righteousness is "filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6).. it's His righteousness(Christ's) that covers us and gives us access to the Father(1 Timothy 2:5)..
Don't be "terrified" ever again...but find the place that He has prepared for you and every single one of us.. Be.. "in Christ Jesus" it's a place we can live right here and now! (2 Corinthians 5:17) ..many, many hugs and prayers sent up from south Florida!

Off Topic - Anyone playing Pet Town?

First, thanks again to the folks who have left gifts for me. I've received check-ins from a couple of people, but I actually don't use them. Thanks, though.

Second, and this is the off-topic bit...
In waiting for the MT2 update, I started playing Pet Town. It's the latest Booyah town-building game, except with animals and not people. I had looked for a forum, or even a thread like this one, where people were discussing Pet Town, but failed to find anything. So, I decided to create my own forum on proboards.... http://pettownaddict.proboards.com/

The game does not have any social aspects at the moment, though Booyah says it will in a future update. So, it's pretty much a solo venture. However, if you are playing the game (or interested in giving it a try) and would like to discuss your good/bad experiences with Pet Town, then you're all certainly invited. [Feel free to browse through the info, as well.]

I've fallen in love with this game, really enjoying it. I keep reading posts about people getting tons of bucks and stuff, and I see peoples towns with things that would require... Thousands of bucks, I'm afraid I don't quite see how this is even possible. The only way I've found to get bucks is from leveling up, random tips from helping people, daily lottery and gifts from people if you have a level 10 building (I don't yet). am I missing something, or just failing hard!

If anyone wants to check out my town feel free (population gifts are always welcome <3)

also if anyone has a Mega Club that I can franchise for coins let me know !!

Nyteowl, thank you for the franchise fees - and the compliments! I just get a real kick out of the whole thing. I sure hate seeing all those stars go to waste, though...

Oh, BTW... I've been playing Pet Town since it came out. It's okay, but not up to this game. The thing that happens to me is that the houses blink out for a few seconds and then come back. That's really the only glitch so far, though. Like this game, I like the cartoonish quality of the whole thing. I'll check out your forum, too.

I think I have a serious problem.... Like I said, all of a sudden, a ton of people have been gifting me population (after I bought stuff to raise population). But I don't seem to be leveling up. So, this morning I got a population gift (thank you Kale), and I'm pretty sure that it did not add ANYTHING to my population. Maybe it's that the coffee has not sunk in, but I find it pretty strange that my level seems to have stayed the same after like 15 gifts (with tripple bonus??)....

If anyone has a spare gift, will you please help me test this again, and gift me population?? I'll watch the actual count. Maybe it's that I'm clicking to go visit their towns the instant the gift explodes, and they're not "rising up"?

So much I want to respond to since last night. Licat, thank you for the resounding endorsement...I am a pretty good source of MT2 knowledge, as I am constantly studying the numbers and changes and latest strategies. Anyone who wants to PM me to ask something is more than welcome to do so...I don't know everything of course but I probably know the answer.

Feel free to friend me and look over my town...pretty nice place, lots of good properties to franchise. Sadly, I am currently capped at 36 businesses, so I can't franchise from anybody, but I am still a good source of tips and gifts!

Bucks, ah, bucks. The reason why people have thousands comes from 3 things: 1) jailbroken phones, involving hacking the source code of the game to manipulate your buck count - this was patched by Booyah; 2) the "lock-screen glitch," which can be found on You Tube - this was also patched up; 3) people franchising from you in bucks, for which you got 10% of the purchase price...so if someone spent 18000 bucks on your property, you got 1800 of them...with a lot of premium buildings and players re-franchising, you could be getting quite a lot of money - Booyah caught on and patched this up as well, capping the buck franchises at a max of 50 bucks recently.

So...how do you go about getting bucks? I have found 9 ways:

1. Daily Lottery (1 per day as long as you log in without missing a day)

2. Leveling Up (1 each level, but stops at Lvl 50)

3. Random Errands for Townspeople (about 1 buck for every 20-30 errands you complete)

4. Others Franchising From You in Bucks (capped at 50 bucks)

5. Booyah "Share" (3 bucks for sharing the game via Twitter, Facebook, E-mail or text, but can only be done once on each - find this under Booyah tab, click on Share)

6. Booyah Sponsorship Offers (complete offers involving registering to websites and signing up for promotions - gives anywhere from 2 bucks to like 175)

7. Gifting Bucks (when you have a Lvl 10 property people can click on it and choose to give you 1 buck; under current VD promotion, it's 3 bucks)

8. Buy Them With Real Money (very expensive - $10 USD gives you 100 game bucks; when you see how much out of area popular properties are priced at, it gets almost silly)

9. Random Gift from Booyah (ultra rare, instead of daily lottery buck you get a "jackpot" that can be any amount of bucks - but, some users have gotten coins instead...something like 70 - 500 game bucks seems to be the typical amount.

no, there's totally a glitch. it's like this:

when u go to a neighbour's town, u click on a business and u see a popularity. then u go to their stats and u see a different popularity. then u go back to the town view and u click on the business again and u see the same popularity in the stats, not the one u saw when u first came into the town.

Yeah, now I see it.... I checked out GraceGirl's Dominos Pizza in her stats (and was at front). It was 130K. I clicked on the business to see how much it cost to franchise, then went back to her stats and it was 60K!!!! (and in the middle of the row).

Glearned. You can turn any business into a "nightlife" category, by using the remodel feature. However, if you know how to relocate to Paris (so you can buy with coins), you should check out Mixer Bar. It seems to have one of the highest popularities in this game.

When I asked for a "market", I meant like a real market category business (not a changed one) But I'll check out those towns to see if they have any. Also looking for a real "Entertainment" category business that is really popular, and more real "offices"

how about the yankee stadium ny? it has a 42688 popularity and i think it's pretty good considering the droppings these days.

oops wait a second.. that's the number showing on my stats but i went to the town i franchised it from, to check what its popularity is, and it says 30k..

rrrr i'm going crazy.
