Hello everyone! I've been looking forever to find a forum that is discussing MT2, finally found this one! wonderful ^_^.
I've fallen in love with this game, really enjoying it. I keep reading posts about people getting tons of bucks and stuff, and I see peoples towns with things that would require... Thousands of bucks, I'm afraid I don't quite see how this is even possible. The only way I've found to get bucks is from leveling up, random tips from helping people, daily lottery and gifts from people if you have a level 10 building (I don't yet). am I missing something, or just failing hard!

I remodeled my businesses into what they should be and the revenue reduction is huge. It's no wonder people are taking advantage of buying multiple Stock Exchanges. I'll bet that ability will be greatly altered in the next update.
When they were all offices:
345,956 - 1,395,259 - 3,264,834 - 7,004,613
Now:
47,526 - 191,361 - 447,915 - 961,009
They may all become offices once again, just for overnight jobs.

After having the Cupid fountains since they came out (I have 2) I finally saw a flying Cupid in my town just now! Lol I'm more excited than I should be.
also, as a side note, to add to the vehicle topic you had been discussing, I have one mansion, and four red convertibles in my town....? Not sure how that worked out. I also have the villas, I thought that's what they were linked to, but as I'm sure you all are noticing, I've been wrong many a time.

I've learned alot from reading this forum. But I still don't know how to change my location. I've turned off location services, but what I've read is that you 'manually choose your location.' Where do you type in a new location? I understand you can only do it once, and possibly have 2 locations..? I started with my current location which is Owasso, OK. But I need some of the big honchos like NY cuz Tulsa and OKC just aren't cutting it. It'd be cool if Booyah made some changes, like the list of friends layout, and maybe a message bar to leave a question or comment on another's town, being able to send houses/community buildings, more than 5 gifts a day (hello!?), WAREHOUSE, they need to fix those gosh darn corner hedges, I need symmetry! Currently, I am really diggin the 3x gifts since I recently got my Walmart skyscraper to level 10. I need to get more bucks, pretty please someone/anyone franchise my businesses or gift me bucks on my Walmart. I'm an excellent 'gifter-backer', when I get a gift from a new town I add to my friends right away so I won't forget you!

I do think part of the requirement is to have X number of roads. I was missing the taxi so when I increased roads, the taxis finally appeared. Another thing I noticed, at least for the taxi stand--must be next to a road. I had my taxi stands isolated and no taxis. My gingerbread houses aren't next to any roads, so no elves. My elves are red with green hats. I don't remember seeing yellow ones.

Fine. So I got my ice cream truck. Then I bought the Cupid fountain and got a little floating Cupid (think there will be a population boom now?).
Then I got a wild hair and bought the fashion museum. Do you think I got the purple bus? Nooooooo.
ARGH!
I just realized I'm missing a school bus, ambulance, fire engine (& yes, I've got the station) & I have a "million" taxi stands with no taxi's on the road, just bought 2 trailer parks & no pick up trucks... three fountains & no Cupid. & no purple car either. I e had the fashion store for quite some time...

I'm super sorry I didn't respond to this right away..my Grannie passed away last night so I haven't been on alot.. I did notice that it came across in bucks though..that's Alllllllways a welcome sight for sore eyes..lol! I have been able to accumulate quite a few coins and have been trying to help others get their land I remember how it just feels like you can't get anything done without enough coins (or in my case bucks) so thank you so very,very much! so much i want to respond to since last night. Licat, thank you for the resounding endorsement...i am a pretty good source of mt2 knowledge, as i am constantly studying the numbers and changes and latest strategies. Anyone who wants to pm me to ask something is more than welcome to do so...i don't know everything of course but i probably know the answer.
Feel free to friend me and look over my town...pretty nice place, lots of good properties to franchise. Sadly, i am currently capped at 36 businesses, so i can't franchise from anybody, but i am still a good source of tips and gifts!
Bucks, ah, bucks. The reason why people have thousands comes from 3 things: 1) jailbroken phones, involving hacking the source code of the game to manipulate your buck count - this was patched by booyah; 2) the "lock-screen glitch," which can be found on you tube - this was also patched up; 3) people franchising from you in bucks, for which you got 10% of the purchase price...so if someone spent 18000 bucks on your property, you got 1800 of them...with a lot of premium buildings and players re-franchising, you could be getting quite a lot of money - booyah caught on and patched this up as well, capping the buck franchises at a max of 50 bucks recently.
So...how do you go about getting bucks? I have found 9 ways:
1. Daily lottery (1 per day as long as you log in without missing a day)
2. Leveling up (1 each level, but stops at lvl 50)
3. Random errands for townspeople (about 1 buck for every 20-30 errands you complete)
4. Others franchising from you in bucks (capped at 50 bucks)
5. Booyah "share" (3 bucks for sharing the game via twitter, facebook, e-mail or text, but can only be done once on each - find this under booyah tab, click on share)
6. Booyah sponsorship offers (complete offers involving registering to websites and signing up for promotions - gives anywhere from 2 bucks to like 175)
7. Gifting bucks (when you have a lvl 10 property people can click on it and choose to give you 1 buck; under current vd promotion, it's 3 bucks)
8. Buy them with real money (very expensive - $10 usd gives you 100 game bucks; when you see how much out of area popular properties are priced at, it gets almost silly)
9. Random gift from booyah (ultra rare, instead of daily lottery buck you get a "jackpot" that can be any amount of bucks - but, some users have gotten coins instead...something like 70 - 500 game bucks seems to be the typical amount.

One thing I've noticed is that as soon as a property is finished building, any associated vehicles/goodies appear immediately. You don't have to wait for them. If you do want to see what came from where (at least with some of them), hit "Edit" and look at whatever property you're interested in. When you return to the game, you'll see whatever belongs to it appear (such as Cupid floating from the fountain). In the case of Cupid, he's small and easily missed.

I have two purple buses but I thought they are from the NYE decorations. I have two NYE party decorations and saw the buses leave in front if the two parties when I return to the game from edit..
