I ordered 9/20 and my receipt has a pickup date of 9/24, but I'm still in the "We'll email you when your order is ready for pickup" purgatory. Thankfully it's for my GF and she doesn't really mind. She was only upgrading because it was damn near free to go from a 12 Mini to a 13 Mini with trade in.
 
Even more savings with BestBuy if you're in a state where sales tax is calculated on the net cost after deducting the trade-in.
Good point, I don't get this benefit where I live. So buying direct from Apple draws up closer to the Best Buy deal just with the downside of it paying out as bill credits over 2 years instead of being up front. Still would have preferred the Best Buy deal but I'm happy to have everything resolved and done with instead of still waiting.

Ordered 13 Pro Max 256gb Gold, last sunday (19th) and had a pickup date of tomorrow the 28th

Bestbuy texted me today that my order was ready and to come in anytime (didn’t get a phone call or specific time slot). All i need to do is alert them in the app that im going to be arriving soon + bring my trade in device.

🤞fingers crossed it goes smoothly and im in and out in 10 minutes.
 
Does Best Buy do home shipping or are all of their orders in-store pickup by default?

Wondering how a trade-in would work if I were to order online to get shipped to my home if that's the case.

You can't do shipping if you are trading in, it needs to be an in-store pickup
 
Just chatted with an online rep, the lack of updates to my order is due to no inventory being available.

Depends on the specifics of the wording they used in the fine print.

I'd bet there was an asterisk somewhere noting something about "subject to availability" or similar.

Still “we’ll email you” message here. They charged my card the day I placed the order though so I was expecting at least an ETA…. Did everyone else with the processing message get charged already?

Ordered at 1am on 9/24 no ETA was listed when checking out. Just says in progress. Not a big deal just wish there was a date somewhere.

i was charged that day but it expired. I was just charged again.
looks like things are moving.
this would be nice since i have one more day off work its kind of a problem o working all night then getting some sleep as well as driving 3 hours round trip to the closest best buy

If you check your store's details page on Bestbuy.com there's an email address for that specific store - could be worth reaching out to them regarding your order and what they in the store anticipate.

i emailed the store that I'm picking mine up at yesterday and this is the response I got

"it does not appear your order currently has an estimated date to be ready. To the best of our knowledge the Iphone Max is currently on backorder. We do have access to most of the Iphone 13 and Iphone 13 Pro phones, but not the max. Since your order was done online, we don't have a lot of additional assistance we can currently provide in our store. If you do have specific questions, feel free to contact our online support team at 1-888-BEST-BUY"

One starlight 13 128 picked up Fri, one 128 midnight mini ordered Sat ready Sat, one 128gb graphite pro ordered Fri pending ready next Friday. Miami area

I just need an official order update for my order that is clarifying why it is late.
 
Update:

Just got off the phone with another rep.

Supposedly my order delayed email should've been sent out and SUPPOSEDLY my silver iPhone 13 pro should be in stock this Friday.

If you're in the bay area that is the Union City BestBuy.

Oh and they're going to resend that delayed order email.

When did you place your order? I didn't place mine until Friday 9/24 not on the pre-order date. If you placed yours before then this could just a placeholder date and you could very well get it before.

I'm ok with it since I have the 12PM and I'm pretty happy with it, just upgrading because its a $230 difference with trade in so I figured might as well do it and not let my 12PM lose more value.

i ordered mine on the 22nd
 
Well, on Sat, I canceled my pre-order and got an email stating that my refund is pending and it would take up to 48 hours to process. Today, I still haven't received my refund. So, I opened a chat and was told that there is a hold on this. I asked why is there a hold? She couldn't answer that and made a case id and gave me the # and told me to call their 1-888 #. After talking to the rep, I got nowhere. She said that there is a hold on it and sent a request to have it lifted. I asked why is there a hold? She couldn't answer that. Also, she said it could take up to 30 days to get my refund. Wtf?
