I have the 11 pro max now and won't be upgrading. No point. Maybe next year.
Same here - not impressed by the new iPhone - 11 Pro Max here....I only upgraded from my X to the 11 pro Max b/c I missed the bigger screen and the camera was awesome (and I was going on a once in a lifetime vacation and wanted the camera).....since I've cancelled 2 vacations this year and I did upgrade to the new AW I will skip it. I must admit I will be looking for some HomePod minis and I really really wanted to see the AirPods Studio too....Agree with this completely. I will be watching the Apple event just like always do, however i think they will spend the majority of the time talking about the iPhone 12, it's new design (not really new if they are going back to looking like the 4 and 5), 5G will probably get a mention (even tho like you say we don't have it here in the U.K, in fact im lucky if i get fast enough 4G), the power of the A14 chip (even tho they mentioned it last month with the iPad Air 4 update) and the cameras.
I'm expecting to be underwhelmed by this event, i was looking forward to the AirPods Studio but the latest leaks from Jon Prosser have squashed that.

The gap between the Pro and non-Pro certainly seems to have closed yet again this year. I thought it was an exciting release for those of us with older iPhones and fancying the 12/12 Mini. If I was an 11 Pro owner then it seems to be a very minimal upgrade and personally I wouldn’t bother. I’m liking that the 12 comes in dark blue and may break the cycle of always having black iPhones this year.Pretty disappointing release.. Only difference between regular and Pro models is material for frame and camera/video system...
OK so the event was slightly underwhelming but we knew what we were getting. Honestly I think the flat edges look good. And it’s thinner? But I am sort of bewildered by something. Did it appear that we have gone back to a glass finish on the back? it didn’t look matte to me. All in all I will wait for reviews and teardowns to see if I’ll make a jump. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the GOLD looks! So iPhone 12 pro max in gold would be the one for me. But I want to see what the actual battery size is, the battery life, verify they’re using Qualcomm modems etc etc
Ok I got one question answered. The back does indeed continue with a matte finishSame. So many questions and we won't know unless APPLE gives us that info or until we get a tear down come mid November.
So, with the launch of 12 mini and 12, along with 12 Pro, are there any members who suddenly became unhappy with their devices?![]()
Unless you can sell your current phone for $800-$900 Then It won’t be 1250For the first time I am thinking it's not worth the upgrade. My 11 Pro Max fits the bill in all areas and I can't see dropping $1250 for a camera upgrade.
