We ALL can agree that some people might have issues and some might not. But both you and I7guy have been going into threads where the entire point of the discussion is to point out issues people are having and discuss those issues. For example, look at the title of this thread, if you aren't a simple "No, I am not having issues" is enough. But if you (not you in particular) take the time to contradict every one else, it gets to the point that we would like see proof.
I've been discussing things commenting on people's implosions that these are severe issues making devices unusable garbage that apply to everyone (as quite a few posts either directly said or strongly implied). Clearly not all by far can agree on something simple as that.

Can you not understand that people may be venting? This is an Apple forum we are all apple fans, and have all spent quite a deal of money on apple products. When someone says "unusable garbage" that is THEIR perception, and them venting at the fact that their $1k+ device is operating significantly worse than prior. It is a hit to the confidence of some apple fans, who believe that apple quality has changed. You or I7guy repeating over and over that your devices are running smoothly is simply rubbing it in their faces. If you went in and posted once that your device was working flawlessly, that is one thing, but continually posting it isn't helping. We all know your devices are working great, ours aren't...

I haven't been rubbing anything in anyone's face about my devices. I've been commenting on various misconceptions. People can vent, and other people can comment on what they are venting. Posts after posts claiming this is horrific and atrocious and everyone is experiencing it all and those who are saying they aren't are either lying or blind are certainly more than worthy of being commented on.

Recap:

The point is, the lag is real and it's a fact. Several members have posted their videos and several website have already tested it and it's a proof that iOS 9 didn't perform well (animation wise) compared to iOS 8.

Several people can see it clearly, some don't. Some who see it, didn't think it's acceptable (notably iPhone 6, 6+, 6s, iPad Air 2, Mini 2/3). They who don't, didn't think this matter is a big deal. It doesn't mean that the performance degradation is an opinion though: once again—It's a fact.

Rather than each of us arguing about something unconstructive, why don't we document the issue? Start with what device you're currently using, where does it lags, and what version did you use?

The degree of lag plays a role too. There are some people who have quite noticeable lag and delays and stutter, and then there are many who might have a light frame drop in a few places.

Check my video.I just found that there is heavy stuttering of my notifications bar when I pull it down in certain apps. Its lagging just like Gingerbread phone

It's very very bad

Then why are you in this thread, challenging everybody who has issues with lag? Isn't it too much work by itself?
Why defend apple? Can't you just believe that many people have lag?
Why try to refute and challenge every post in this thread? Isn't this too much work by itself?
Then why are you here stating everybody must have lag when clearly it isn't so.

The reality of this is different than what a few posters has been portrayed along with some videos.

Thats incorrect. I am voicing my opinion is not endemic to every user every idevice as has been portrayed. To all iOS 9 users have lag, they are just too "stupid" to know, is a statement to be challenged.

Then, can you show us video where it didn't stutter on your device, unlike other who have posted?

That would be helpful.

Until then, your opinion is "baseless"—as you have voiced repeatedly.

C DM, I've submitted the Google drive sheet above. Do you think the variable need any revision? I know it's not perfect. Would love your contribution!

Its no more baseless than some of the other generalizations. It's fair game to document your own experience.

Or maybe you just want to deny the lag exists because there have been so may videos showing lag yet not a single one from anyone saying its smooth

Any video of someone saying things are smooth would be met with comments that there's lag and that people are just. not seeing it by some of those who believe these are horrific problems that exist for everyone. What would be the point of trying to post that if people will still say it's there (whether or not they even see it) just to support their position?

...but the lag does exist. Some who uploaded the video showing how "smooth" the devices didn't see it first. After some our forum members pointed it out, they realized it do exists (proof: see several posts on this thread). For example, the Twitter scrolling: @CupertinoSlave mentioned it has "micro stutter" (which it does). Other defensive forum member then attack him for "unrealistic expectation"—which is out of topic. The problem still exist and happens on all device (FACT).

So far, only I7guy says that he didn't have the issue & refuse to upload the video. Not to be rude, but his opinion are not contributing anything at all.

--------------------------

I understand your frustation that you believe this is only a phase: iOS 9.X.X would be better. Members that whining for the problem won't make anything better. I agree with you.

Okay, but it can be said that the 15 people claiming lag with the two people posting personal videos with one person not bothered by stutter against the millions of Idevices who are on iOS 9 are just noise in these hundreds of posts across three threads.

Additionally, I'd like to see proof it's across all iOS 9 devices; which is impossible to prove, but the hyperbole sounds good.

Ever since iOS 9, scrolling through twitter, youtube or just mail, its not as smooth as it was in iOS 8. iOS 9.1 beta 3 made it a bit better than 9.0.2 but its still really bad.

It's brutal on my iPhone 6, it's more noticeable when doing small swipes to go through lists, such as Recents in Phone or emails in Mail. Twitter and Tweetbot 4 are utterly unusable at present, I actually showed a work colleague it today by saying, "Scroll through some menus or lists" and he said, "What is up with that scrolling stutter"?

It's still present on 9.1 beta 5.

Stutters doesn't effect functionality...it doesn't break anything.

It affects the user experience and the enjoyment of using the device. This isn't Android pre 2013, this is iOS. Just because you CAN scroll doesn't mean we should accept it not doing so smoothly.

It didn't do it on 8.4.1, it shouldn't do it on iOS 9, especially on newer devices.

Seriously, I know you're a smart guy—so we don't have to do this again & again anymore on several different threads.

Fact:
1. Several videos posted here (I know, very small sample variation—but it do exist)
2. I believe Ars Technica have several analysis.
3. every iOS upgrade bring performance degradation to all device—no matter big or small.

Personal Observation:
1. My own device.
2. I just went to Apple Store, and all of iDevice there have framedrops—little or lot—compared to when they were on iOS 8 (iPad Air 2 and below, iPhone 6 and below, 6s not available in my country—so can't say about that one). No device completely smooth like iOS 8.

Your Experience:
1. Even you confirmed yourself that it perform better on iOS 8 (animation wise), compared to iOS 9. Safari better on iOS 9.

I hope several facts and opinions above can bring clarity to your argument. Guess this is the last time I'm going to argue with you. Have a nice day.

I didnt think we were "arguing". I thought we were discussing. I think we understand both points of view. Thanks.

Stuttering is a non-issue. The complaints posted are trivial....micro-stutters? Really?

or we just actually have no problem, where did i say it was "faster"? i said its smooth. apparently most of their user base agrees too, go through this every year

have no problems with the next ios release, ur a "fanboy etc", just another day in the apple device community, downside of using the more popular side

There are clear stutters as you do small swipes to go through a list (such as tweets, emails, recent calls, videos on YouTube) or at the end of a large swipe where the screen begins to slow to a halt after one large swipe. There are noticeable stutters every now and then.

I showed a work colleague today, who has an iPhone 5, and he said it was, to quote "Hellish". Even one of the most respected tech guys on YouTube, Chris Pirillo, has commented on how bad scrolling is in areas of iOS. And he's one of the biggest Apple fans on the web.
