Lol, yeah. But it gets tiresome when the conversation is based around nothing. Reminds me of Seinfeld, where it was based on nothing, just the interaction of characters and their situations. "Fact: Vanilla is the best because it's white and tastes better" ... "Whoa, I take that as a personal affront, that's not how "facts" work, but I believe chocolate is better because it's sweeter tasting, now that's IS a fact". And so on, so on, so on until someones head explodes, or a mod closes it down. PLEASE someone make a sitcom based on these forums!!!

Totally agree. I have tried both n like both simple. I have a 6splus at the moment

Galaxy's suck, back when the s4 and note 3 were new that was when galaxy done it right. Those were great phones. These newer ones suck they lag constantly and battery doesn't last very long. I use to be a hardcore android fan mostly Samsung but they went down hill, the s7 was the last for me. And I wouldn't be bragging up the note 7 when they can't even put a battery in that won't blow up.
I just used scroll capture to save a long recipe that would have been a pain to take individual screen shots of. I'll be using scroll capture to save my Facebook pages before I delete them and permanently delete my account.

I've been using my Note 7 a lot as a pocket computer, just as I had planned. It's also a great media device and I like how web pages look on it.

The battery needs to be charged about once every 24 hours. It's actually been pretty good, actually a bit better than I've been getting from my SE since installing ios10 on it...a decision I sometimes regret and sometimes appreciate, depending on the circumstances.

I'm sure you have many legitimate criticisms of the Note 7, as you've already stated, but can we please retire the cracks about it exploding? Not that that isn't also a legitimate issue but it's becoming a cheap throwaway insult the way most people use it. Just as wisecracks about the headphone jack on iPhones have become, or the hissing problem. I've stopped snapping about the headphone jack sometime ago because I know snark on that is getting old for people who would rather move on and discuss other things about iPhone 7. Which reminds me, I need to amend the snark out of my signature!

That's your opinion not a fact. Fact is better depends on your usage and what you want and need.

Read all the comparisons and you will find the Note wins 90% of the time. Sorry if you don't like the facts.

Hahaha, this tells me how much you sir have no clue about the newer phones. I've owned the Note 3 and S4, and the newer S7 and Note 7 both blow those away in battery life by a long shot. I remember having to swap batteries through the day on those other two where I come home and still at 75-80% left on my Note 7. The Note 7 second edition models do not blow up. They resolved that issue. It's not like Apple isn't having some iPhones currently blowing up as well and in the past.

Exactly. I haven;t done it on my Note 7 yet, but when I had my Note 5, I actually signed financial paperwork that was sent to me from the bank with my S-Pen on my Note 5. Not having to print and sign and scan was nice. The iPhone you can't do that.

It's not subjective. Prove me wrong then instead of stating your opinion as fact. It is a fact that the Note 7 wins almost every review against the iPhone 7 plus. You have already shown how you are biased towards the iPhone and refused to open your eyes.

Yes, "better" is largely a subjective concept.

My battery life is the best I've had in a smartphone.
I don't experience lag.

I've owned Note 3, 4, 5 and 7.

They've got better each time.

I realise there are people who do experience lag and battery issues on their Notes, but it's all Notes, just in the same way that some owners of other phones experience the same but not all.

There's just no other phone for me that compared to this phone. Nothing.

IMHO

How is it subjective when the Note is the better phone.

Look at the SPEC, features, and everything you get vs the iPhone that you don't get. That is the fact. Stop with the non-sense.

Because better is a subjective measure. It's fairly basic logic.

Great ecosystem, flawless performance, top notch service, plus other things that make the phone a joy to use with endless tweaking. Different strokes for different folks. Better is not a list on a spec sheet.

Samsung has all of what you mentioned

BTW tweaking ?iPhone has zero customisation compared to Androids

Not really better than 6s. . Lol

Again, you are clueless. It's not subjective and you have yet to provide anything backing your claims. Every review has shown the note to be better period.

This is something any unbiased person who owns a Android and iOS device will tell anyone .Sadly some iOS users look at this comparison with Apple blinders

You are still stuck discussing comparisons of phones and ignoring the actual discussion of what the actual concept of "better" is. Something might be "prettier" or "nicer" than something else in the eyes of many, but it's still subjective nonetheless. Objective means it just is and there is no discussion about it, like 2 is larger than 1.

But since we are down to ad hominems, doesn't seem like there really was much to discuss there.

Yeah, some people seem to willfully, or judgmentally, or without even understanding, ignore a fairly basic concept like subjectivity.

It's often "interesting" how people try to say or imply that others are biased or blind all right in the middle of essentially preaching that their view is the only view and the others are simply wrong about other views existing. Funny how that is.

But subjectively I like the iphone better, due to the above reasons. It's ironic, when an "unbiased" review is posted by cnet, it's dimissed, but an "unbiased" review by other sources are the holy grail of comparos when they meet the internet talking points.o_O And the ad-hom generalization kind of says it all, but it's reminiscent of pot meet kettle and kettle meet pot.

I mentioned the facts above which proved the Note 7 was better. You countered it with subjectivity

And if it's CNET vs the rest of the review world which is stating the opposite I will go with the latter

Fact that 2 is larger than 1 is a fact, but that fact doesn't prove that 2 is better than 1, although it can subjectively make someone have the opinion of 2 being better than 1 (because it is larger and/or for some other reasons).

So wait .Is a retina Mac better than a Non retina one?Is a i5 4690k @4ghz better than 3ghz?Is a camera with a bigger MP count and a smaller aperture better than the opposite? Is having a Apple Pencil better than not having one

Know what I just listed? The difference between Note 7 and iPhone in Apple terms.
PURE facts

For a host of different reasons there can certainly be people that might see one better than the other for themselves. You might have listed facts, but the call as to what might or might not be better is still largely a subjective one. The facts don't change that basic reality.

You can go with whatever opinion suits your fancy. It's still subjective.
It's not an opinion.

As of right now here are the facts you and I can't deny
1.The Galaxy has the best camera on the planet according to Tom's guide. The Pixel has the best Camera according to Dx0mark.Apart from CNET,no one rated the iPhone 7 camera as the best and I can pull out tons and tons of reviews stating the Galaxy s7 wins camera shootouts.Mobile Nations also conducted a camera test and asked people to judge for them selves and the S7 was on a whopping 39% lead.Such a commanding lead is not opinion when backed by other reviews too

2.The Note 7 has the best display on the planet according to DisplayMate.I challenge you to show me ONE review where a reviewer states the iPhone display better than the Galaxy.

3.Samsung Pay has widespread adoption.Apple Pay does not.So Samsung Pay is better than Apple Pay.Hackers will target Samsung Pay more as its more popular.Who will target Apple Pay with minuscule adoption?

So supposing someone says the iPad Air 2 is better than the Surface Pro 4 at certain tasks we should accept that opinion?

Fact: Samsung s7 no longer have the best camera. Cnet.
Fact: Samsung pay can be hacked
Fact: the iPhone 7 display has the most accurate rendition.
Fact: the iPhone demolished the note in speed tests.

Ergo fact the iPhone 7 is the best device. Which is fairly similar to much of the reasoning put forth here. So it must be correct.

That's not what you said in other threads.

The value for money proposition is just absent. The IP rating doesnt match the iPhone. No Front Speakers. The SD821 will roughly be equivalent to an Apple A9.A low res 1080P display.Massive Bezels. The finger print sensor looks like they took the iPhone home button and pasted it on the back.No OIS.Verizon Exclusive. And to top it off they charge as much as an iPhone.DOA phone.I am missing the Nexus series already :(

I agree. This pretty much clinched the deal.I could have compromised the display somewhat but the design of the phone is a huge step back from the Nexus 6P.Even the OnePlus 3 had OIS iirc.Google is crazy charging iPhone prices for this.It doesnt deserve more than 500 bucks.

Anyway,Getting an iPhone 7 Plus this week.

Should have gotten a note 7

That's the Pixel, not Note 7.And the part about the camera is what Dx0mark said today,I am just stating what was said.If it was priced around $500 or so I would have gotten it along with an Android Wear watch .
I am actually kinda stuck here because Android has no answer to the iPad and I like moving between devices a lot which is why I get the iPhone

have gotten a note 7
.
I would need to sell off my Apple Watch at rock bottom prices and I would have to get a Note 7,an Android Wear Watch and my iPad will be wasted.Thats more than a thousand bucks at which price I could get a iPhone 7 Plus 256GB
