First of all, my size 13 feet aren’t little. Couldn’t care less is Apple is listening or not. That’s not the point of this forum. The point of this forum is for me to agree with the OP and his/her hate of the App Library.

The bottom line is that everyone has an opinion, and in the end of it all, no one cares what you or I think... and no one here can do anything about it - NOT EVEN the OP. The only one who can is Apple... and you couldn't care less if they are listening... so I have to ask, what's the point of all of this back and forth?

You can choose to skip over my posts if that will make you happy though.

I quite enjoy all of the whinging. We can't change it. Apple isn't listening (and you don't care if they are), yet you continue to beat the drum. Good luck with that.

I’ve used an iPhone since the original and Android since the original Galaxy S. They can’t take me back if I never left.

It’s so easy that it goes right over your head. Choice is always an option we should have. Always.

If you’ve been using IOS since the original you should know by now that’s not how it works.

...enough of this garbage - your posts have already been moderated once and you're heading in the right direction to be banned altogether.

We all get it - you want the library removed.

Enough with all the argumentative negative posts against everyone who disagrees with you - stop trying to ram it down people's throats................jeez.

If you start customising it, it defeats the point of it and just becomes another Home Screen. Also, if you change a category folder name, what happens to new apps that have that category? Does it go there too? Does a new version of the original category name appear?

I think you are catching the point..........
Currently Apple and developers create the chaos, in another 'alternative reality', users can create their own chaos.

App Library appears to be essentially automatically controlled (via developer and Apple details), while regular home screens, folders, and apps there are under user control (as they have been before).

If you pull down on the App Library the alphabetical pick list is on the right. Most people are right-handed and hold the phone in their left hand, so the pick list would make more sense on the left so it can easily be reached one handed with your thumb.

I disagree. I almost never hold my phone in my left hand precisely because I’m right handed.

That's actually weird. Typically you hold the phone with one hand and interact with the other. Usually you interact with your dominant hand and hold with the non-dominant, unless you only use your phone one-handed style. You might be somewhat ambidextrous and don't know it lol

What I mean is I both hold it and interact with it with my dominant hand only. My right hand holds the phone and my right thumb interacts with the screen. I only ever touch the phone with my left hand when I’m typing or on rare occasions when my right hand is already occupied with something I can’t put down.

I could be mistaken but I believe this is actually how most people hold their phone. That’s why Apple put the alphabetical navigation on the right side of the screen, so it’s easily accessible with one hand.

Not me. I’m right handed and hold my phone with my left and use left thumb to scroll and right for other interactions. I just tried holding/scrolling with my right hand and it felt very wrong.

Ideally they should make everything much more customizable so we aren't stuck with their design decisions, arbitrary or not. So many of us are tired of Apple's 'helicopter parent' approach. 😄

And if you’re left handed...?

With as many accessibility features as iOS already has you’d think they’d also include a left-handed mode. I imagine one-handed use is pretty awkward for a lefty in some parts of the UI.

And that's why God gave us Android.

Y'all came to Apple somewhere over the past 10 years or so... and Apple has always been Apple - the walled garden has existed from the beginning... now, disparagingly, it's "helicopter parent"... but my point is, y'all knew what you were getting into... and now y'all just want to bemoan the lack options, and expect Apple to kowtow to your wishes. Sorry, guys, it don't work that way.

You may not but I said the MAJORITY do.

Most right handed people wear their watch on their left hand. That’s why the crown is on the right of the device.

Most right handed people hold their phone in the left hand.

70-95% of the population is right handed

I play guitar right-handed

I play pool/snooker right-handed

I write left-handed

I'm weird lol

But........Only left-handed people are in their right mind ;)
