Ugh, same - are you going to wait?

No - I'm going to be naughty and preorder even though I think my eligibility is 10/02/2018 w/o the $56 payment. My concern is that if I don't, then I'm out 5+ weeks if stock gets low, and then I'm making more payments and getting further past the annual launch date, so I'm going to eat it this time and pay the last $56. :/

Does anyone know how this would work with t mobile and being jump on demand? I assume we pay the monthly fee to apple or the credit company?

I want to upgrade from my 7, which is paid off on the Apple Upgrade Program. But when I log in, it gives me the run-around to re-enroll, but when I try, it says my phone is paid off. I know this already!! Should I stop by the Apple Store on Thursday and see if I can do it there?

You can't technically "upgrade" if your phone is already paid off because you own it. You'll have to re-enroll in the IUP when pre-orders open up.

JOD is a whole separate program. You can enroll in IUP even while currently on JOD, you'll just be paying for both. If you want IUP exclusively you'll need to get out of Jump On Demand.

Ahh thanks for the heads up. That is annoying as I don't want to pay off half of my s9+ at this point to get on the program.

You can easily get out of JOD without paying off your phone using a loophole that's been around for a long time. Search the reddit T-mobile sub for "JOD loophole".

I just got my first-time approval for the IUP about an hour ago. Went very smoothly on the app.

Is anyone calling Citizens to make that extra "12th" payment? It's stated in the Apple Store app that "You can upgrade to iPhone XS by paying off the remaining balance of your first 12 monthly payments." but doesn't tell you how to pay that. The Citizens One loan page does not actually allow you to make a payment online (unless someone could guide how).

Does anyone know if you can go backwards after you finalize your pre-approval if you change your mind (i.e., if I choose the XS now but later decide I want the XS Max)?

You can change your phone selection at the time of pre-order, but you can't change anything prior to that.

I have the iPhone Upgrade Program and I need to make 2 more payments so I can pre-order on Friday. How and where do I make the additional payment? On my Citizens Loan website?

So I won't be pre-approved until I make the additional payment or you make the additional payment at pre-order on Friday? I went to Apple's site and it correctly told me I need to make an additional payment so that it's the equivalent of 12 monthly payments.

Can I pick up the upgraded iPhone at an Apple Store in a sales tax free state to avoid sales-tax, or it has to be shipped to me?

Thanks in advance. :)

This contradict what someone else says. I'll have to call t mobile and pick their brain.

i am on contract with AT&T but at the same time i am enrolled in IUP with Apple. I can upgrade easily to Xs Max on IUP!

If you're referring to me, it doesn't actually contradict what I said. You can definitely sign up for IUP without paying off your S9 first, because it's a separate program, but in that case you'll be enrolled in both IUP and JOD - and paying for both.

Currently a part of the iUP and was able to get pre-approved with no problem. My credit is even frozen. I was a little concerned that might be an issue but it worked fine.

My credit is screwed up now too, you make me feel better lol

It says if I pay the 56 I can upgrade

Just finished my pre-approval. Did anyone have the option to select AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss protection? Someone on reddit did and posted a screenshot, but I didn't get that option unless I somehow missed it.
I missed it too.

Assuming they will charge my credit card automatically for the remaining 1 payment I have left on my iPhone X before they let me complete the order on the night of pre-order.
It will be built in. As a line item. Don’t worry. I checked last week. With like an iPhone 8 Plus

You do have to call Citizens One to make an extra payment instead of through the website. I processed my extra payment with them last week, and I'm ready to go.

Once you place your order it will tack on what you owe as well.

i cant even log into my citizensone account to see my loan!! it used to work fine but it stopped working since a month or so!

So I currently have a 256GB iPhone X on IUP. Unfortunately I used both accidentals with Apple Care so in order to hand in the phone and upgrade I believe it will be $550 at pickup of my iPhone XS Max. Whereas, the balance on my iPhone X is about $700. Does anyone know if I will be able to pay the $700 balance at pickup and keep it or am I forced to pick one of the trade in options?
