So it's barely cheaper than the 16? Is it at least lighter?
Yeah I was secretly hoping the new SE would use the old 12/13 mini chassis to accommodate the part of the market that like small devices. Would have thought that would be perfect seeing as there’s already plenty of choice in their lineup with 6.1 displays and the old SE’s obviously were popular with people liking smaller phones. Was really hoping Apple would give us a smaller iPhone years after the 13 Mini, really disappointing.
I do not believe the other SE's had MagSafe, so I'm not sure why you would expect this one to?
It has wireless charging, but not MagSafe. Which is fine IMO.It has magsafe
And the iPhone 16 has worse battery life. Out of that list above, the only two things that matter to me are the camera and MagSafe.Quick comparison:
For the extra £$200 on the iPhone 16 you're getting:
- Magsafe
- Wide Angle Camera w/Macro
- Displayport video out
- Camera control
- UWB
- 35W Charging support
- Extra GPU Core
It has magsafe
It competes directly with the Pixel 8a.Can't understand the role this phone is trying to play in the lineup.
I understand your hoping for it, but it was never going to happen. Was really hoping Apple would give us a smaller iPhone years after the 13 Mini, really disappointing.
The device is also equipped with an Apple-designed 5G modem is the most exciting bit.
Edit: For people laughing or disagreeing with the comment – seems like this iPhone gives 3 hours more battery life, compared to the standard 16. I assume most of that is because of the Apple's modem. And there's a potential for this to be even more noticeable for devices such as the Pro Max, where the battery is larger.
$599 with carrier, $629 unlocked
I'd love to know this as wellwill this be able to stop charging at 80%?
