Hi everyone, new here... So last week on Thursday received a call from a recruiter for the chat position. She said she was moving forward and scheduled the Hirevue interview for Tuesday. Yesterday, she called and said they changed the position from graveyard to swing and that they pushed interviews back to next week. She said she scheduled me for next Tuesday same time, but I haven't received my email or anything yet. It's only been a day, but I'm not sure what happened... Has anyone experienced this before? Should I call her? I don't want to seem pushy or anything, but I really want this job... Currently I am an at home supervisor, but the job is ending soon... Also has anyone ever been hired as a team manager?

My initial recruiter said that email could take 24-48 hours, so maybe wait another day or so. What hours are the swing shift? That's the first time I've heard one of the shifts for chat called that.[/QUOTE]

They said mid shift from 1pm ct to 4 am I believe

Do TMs look favorably on someone who wants to work both Saturdays and Sundays (for a full-time AHA)?

Managers don't have much to do with your schedule - shift bids are done every 3 months, so you would choose your preferences that way.

I just had my 2nd interview thought it went well but I was told the interviewer would check with the hiring mgrs and I would hear NEXT WEEK (wth!)

I know I won't get a 3rd interview, no reason to fool myself thinking I will.

I mean most people are told they would move on during their 2nd interview from what I read.

I don't know if I'll apply again, pretty aggravated at the moment

From apple dreams' post, it sounds like they're really swamped right now. Other folks have been scheduled for the third interview up to it sounds like a week or so after the second interview. It seems to be all over the place, so don't give up yet.

I'm curious, when do you start?

I applied for the phone position too. I'm still waiting for my confirmation email for the final round of interviewing, and in the meantime spending a lot of time in my customer service training manual from my current position, going over the empathy section like crazy.

Waiting for that email is kind of making me nervous... hoping they don't accidentally hit the reject button when they meant to hit the "next round" button!

I'll be starting in the July class and definitely heard 8 weeks when I asked about training length.

lol I'm playing the waiting game with that confirmation email as well (though not a game I'd like to play!) How long has it been since you've done your second interview?

I'm hearing different things about the pay rate and the length of the class, if I compare the first recruiter to the second. I'm just hoping my one day away during the training period isn't going affect my hiring prospects :(

So I just finished my first Skype interview (second interview since the call back last Thursday) and it went VERY well. I stuttered through one or two questions trying to find the correct words but I think I got my point across. The interviewer was sooooo nice! She definitely made me feel less nervous after a few minutes of speaking to her.

A few questions she asked me:
1. Why Apple? Why this particular position?
2. What was the most challenging aspect working at your previous jobs?
3. What do you like most about customer service?
4. What's more important: fixing a customer's issue or providing a good customer experience?
5. How would you provide a good customer experience?

(Most of these questions can be found on Glassdoor, which is why I anticipated pretty much all of these and was able to answer fairly easily without stalling/hesitating)

Technical question: A person's having issues with email. What are three questions you'd ask to solve their issue?

1. What kind of device are they using? (e.g. phone, tablet, computer, etc.)
2. What kind of email/protocol are they using? (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, POP, IMAP, etc.)
3. What specific issues are they having? (e.g. can't send email, can't receive email, both, no access, etc.)

Roleplay scenario: I purchased Bluetooth headphones for my daughter's birthday and I don't know how to set them up with my iPhone. I don't know anything about setting up Bluetooth so can you help me?

Warmly greet and ask how they're doing; acknowledge customer's daughter's birthday, gently guide customer through steps on turning on Bluetooth on iPhone (Settings > Bluetooth > make sure green light is on); making sure Bluetooth is turned on headphones; check for devices being "paired" on iPhone and then testing them with the playing music.

(She said she'd tell me when to stop but it seems like we did the entire scenario and that was enough for her. She said we were going to do "a few" but we ended up doing one and she immediately moved me to the third interview so I guess that was awesome :D)

Now I'm waiting for the confirmation email to set up the third interview!

----------

Oh, is anyone scheduled for a July class? If so, when is it? I was told 8 weeks but I've been hearing different numbers (like 6 weeks). The recruiter I talked to didn't know when the class would be starting exactly and I have a convention to attend in late August so she doesn't know if that'll affect my potential placement.

I think we spoke to the same person. Because word for word that is every question my interviewer asked me, And the role play was exactly the same lol

The only thing I have going badly for me is preplanned trips and it is making me so antsy. I'm more than willing to take on any extras to compensate for it. Good luck!!

Will Kelly Hire You for AHA with Fried Credit??

Has anyone here got on the Apple Project through Kelly with bad credit, but a clean criminal history? I went through Kelly because I figured it would be easier to get on with bad credit, plus I did it with them a few years ago and had a good record. I applied, tested, interviewed, received a "conditional" offer, filled out an I-9, and signed consent for background checks. I was told the job was mine as long as the background check was OK, and there was a date of hire on the I-9 of yesterday.

I know Kelly isn't the greatest way to do AHA, but I need a job in the worst way and quick. I am limited on how much money I can make anyway and keep my Medicaid, so I am not worried about the couple bucks difference per hour in pay. I just need to know if anyone has gotten on through Kelly with bad credit. If I can pay off my debts, I'll apply to Apple in a year. I am doing a vocational program right now and need some way to support myself for the next 24 months. I have been disabled since 2000'ish but got better enough to do an office job.

The background check is quite thorough but it does not include a credit check.

Thanks so much. If that's the case I got the job. I told them upfront other than the time I worked for them I hadn't worked outside the home for many, many years. I don't have so much as a speeding ticket on my record.

Thanks a bunch.
