Really? Are you in the 3/3 class? I was on the conference call the other day going over how to fill out paperwork and it defiantly sounded like business use only

That seems odd to me. Out of the thousands of posts I've read and dozens of people that've posted about that exact topic they've all said they are NOT to use the iMac for personal use at all or risk being fired. So, if you're getting a packet that says you can they that must be something new.

If that's accurate then that's cool!

even if they said you could i still wouldnt, only as a teaching tool

I agree with that 100% - they have the ability to track everything on that computer so I would not want them watching me, you know? Now, I have nothing to hide. But, it still would be too creepy.

If you want an iMac to play with then go buy one once your first 90 days is past working for them. Because that's when you can get the $500 discount on a computer from them.

Want more deets on the discount? Check this out!

And I think that $500 is on top of the 25% discount, which they discount first, then the 500
So a base model 21.5 iMac that is 1299 becomes $475 plus tax
That is ridiculously awesome

I received my hireright email and a call from my recruiter Friday! I'm in the March 31st class. My timeline is really screwed up but I'll put it out there for anyone whose in my former position.

Aug - Applied
Sep - Recieved call and moved on to first Skype interview. Offered MAPs position.
Sep - First Skype interview, moved on to second interview. Slotted to begin Nov 27.
Oct - Second Skype interview.
Nov - Told MAPs is on hold till first of the year.
Jan - Told MAPs is still on hold. Offered AHA position. Accepted.
Jan - first (third) Skype interview. Moved forward.
Feb - Second Skype interview. Received Hireright and call the next day.

Stick with it guys! I've never been so happy to have my background verified!!! Hireright also moves quickly. I filled out the info around noon and when I got to work at 4 a coworker told me they had already called to verify my employment. Good luck and hope to meet some of you in the upcoming class.

Please review my Cover Letter..

I been trying to get in with Apple since June 2013. I believe that I am doing everything correct on my application. Also being that I have done the AHA position through a third-party company for the past 6 months, I thought that would help. With this being said, can you please go over my cover letter and sincerely tell me what you guys think? I think its short and straight to the point. Does it need more to get attention? Please let me know. Thanks...

My name is NAME and I am looking to apply for the above mentioned position(s) posted on the Apple job board. Working for Kelly Services as an At-Home Apple Advisor has provided me with the related experience. I am an empathetic, professional, and self-motivated employee; that is looking forward to assist Apple customers and work associates. My work ethic and good attitude; which I can bring to the table, will let me operate smoothly with the rest of the team members. My style of work enables me to work with little supervision and get the job done efficiently and in a timely manner. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience so that I may further discuss my job experience and present my credentials. I can be reached at or at .

Sincerly;

I have a friend going this this process so I thought I would speak on his behalf. Is anyone in the March 31st class? Do you know what it's supporting? Also, if he made it to the third interview (which is in the future), does that mean he pretty much has the job?

Thanks.

if he makes it past the third interview and onto the background check, it is pretty safe to say he has the job..unless the criminal check shows he's a serial killer

Going on 6 months now from my first application and 2 from my second... I can't think of what I did wrong. :( I just don't know how much longer I'll last at my current job!

Just a quick glance at it says there seems to be a few grammatical/punctuation errors that are in there, though I am not sure that would have you out of the job. Also I would get more specific! Don't blanket it as "above mentioned position(s)". Also just a few awkward spots.

Here's a quick edit:

I would change it up a bit to reflect more personality and enthusiasm. Apple wants you to REALLY want to be part of the team, and to be excited.
Maybe try something like this:
Hi Apple, my name is NAME and I want to join the Apple team as an Apple At Home Advisor. I have been working for Kelly Services as an At-Home Apple Advisor and it has provided me with the related experience, but I want to join the Apple Team.(why do you want to join up with Apple? even though you are technically working for Kelly, you are getting the job done for them already, why Apple? Why would Apple want you? Sell yourself here) I am love helping people, am professional, and am a self-motivated employee. I will bring my great work ethic and awesome attitude to work everyday. I work really well with little supervision and always get the job done efficiently and in a timely manner. I look forward to hearing from you soon and am so excited to join the Apple team. I can be reached at or at .
Just a suggestion. Don't be afraid to be personal (while still professional) and really show them that you want to join THEM. :)

Hi all, I've jumped around this thread and the original one searching for an answer (I may have missed it... but there's 462 pages total) to a question I have.

I've been trying to contact Apple Corporate HR or Recruiting, because my university isn't listed on the Student Employment page. They also, apparently, do not do career fairs at my university. Is it still possible to apply for the Campus Rep/At-Home Advisor positions? Has anyone done it if your school isn't listed?

Also, there is one position (not listed under Student Employment) for an AHA but it's for a city on the other side of my state. Does physical location really matter for an at-home position?

I feel the same! I did my interview almost a month ago and my background check has been complete for almost two weeks! Still no word. Hope it comes soon, for both of us! How long have you waited?

...AHA college

I started this application process back in September. I did everything besides not uploading my resume. So I got contacted in October and I uploaded my resume. I received an email in December to do the short survey and upload college transcript, and then I received an email to schedule an interview in january. My interview was jan 13 with a hiring manager, and it went great. Very cool laid back skype interview, not many tech questions just a lot of customer service expected questions. So 2 weeks later I receive an email to do official app and then a day after that hireright background check. I haven't heard anything back since, and this is the third week since I submitted background check (which is completed btw). I emailed them 2 days ago about the status of my app but left out a subject line so I re-emailed them today. The class I'm applying for starts in May but I kind of want to know if I got it sooner rather than later. Is anyone on the same boat as me? Is anyone still waiting for an offer/decline after BG check?:apple:

I had my stuff done about the same time, still waiting! It is taking longer than. I thought, but I am hoping to hear any day now. Did any one respond to your emails? If so, what did they say? Keep us posted on what they say, if they say anything.

What school are you applying for? I'm at Ohio State. Btw my BGC didn't have any employment verification. I did have a speeding ticket from a few months ago that's paid. I hope that doesn't disqualify me. Everything was fast, I'm just playing the waiting game. Tomorrow will mark 3 weeks since I submitted my BGC info on hireright. I will keep you posted if I hear anything from them soon.

I'm at Georgia State university. So is your BGC complete? I know they did employment verification for my BGC. It has been complete for a whole now.
