This sucks... I was for sure I had it :(
I'm really sorry to hear you didn't get it. I would definitely reapply, and maybe in the meantime send an email to the last person who interviewed you and ask for feedback. Tell them you really want to work for Apple and would like feedback so you can improve for the next time you apply.

I was trying to locate the original post and went back about 30 pages - couldn't find it so the OP may have deleted it. I think it's useful for people still going through the process. Again, credit goes to the original poster whoever you are.

General Interview Timeline/Process

Application to first interview call - this is the broadest range. Some people heard the same
day, others heard back 6 months later. The call is generally 10 minutes with a recruiting screener.
They will ask a few questions and will schedule you for the second interview while on the phone.
The screener may give you his/her phone number.

First interview to second interview - the second interview is usually scheduled during the first interview call and is within a week after that call, and you'll get a confirmation email. This interview is done via HireVue video call or FaceTime. Not sure if Skype is still being used. The second interview is done with your assigned recruiter. Note that recruiter's name in the confirmation email. The recruiter's email address should also be in that confirmation email. This interview will be more in-depth questions and some role play scenarios.

The recruiter may tell you at the end of the interview they'd like to move forward and you'll receive an email to schedule the third interview. Or they may tell you that you'll hear back within some time period. Some people have heard back after a week that they want to schedule the third interview. If you're not selected to move forward, generally you'll get an email within that week.

The third interview scheduling email contains a link to page where you can select from available dates and times for that interview based on the interviewing manager's schedule.

Third interview to hiring offer pending BGC - The third interview is conducted by a hiring manager and will be some of the same questions as the second interview and similar role plays also via HireVue or FaceTime. The manager will not give you status at the end of the interview, but they will say that you'll hear within 1-2 weeks. This is one of the hardest phases to wait out. If they make an offer it will be via phone. If you're not selected, they'll notify you via email. Some people have received the phone call or email 3 days after the interview, others up to a week later.

Offer pending BGC to BGC email - The BGC email contains a link to the HireRight website to complete the background checking forms, which start the process. If they've made you an offer pending BGC, generally they'll say you'll get the email within 24-48 hours after the call. Some people have received theirs within a few hours, others a couple days after the call.

BGC completion to official offer call - The timeframe to get the BGC completed is so different for everyone, but generally within 7 business days after you submit the HireRight form. After the BGC report status is complete and you can see the Adjudication Status on the report, generally you'll get the official offer call within 2-5 business days. The offer call will confirm your start date, pay rate, and shift.

Official offer call to welcome email - This can range from a few days to a couple of weeks, and seems to be dependent on the starting date. That email will also tell you when your paperwork package should arrive. This will contain the official welcome letter, employment forms, and benefits information. I've read here that it's overnighted. It will also contain info about signing up for a paperwork online session. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to frame that welcome letter!

I'm so sorry to hear it:( Sometimes it's so hard to read the interviewer:(. And definately ask your recruiter/last interviewer for feedback, then reapply

I just got my denial email. :( I was so sure I did great
I am so shocked. If you felt that great about it and it did not happen?! I am so sorry. I really am. I am sitting here watching my inbox just waiting for the dreaded email. Well if/when I get mine we can stay in touch and reapply together.

I'm scheduled for my third interview, but I think that I'm going to run into some issues with my background. Both companies that I have worked for in the past has gone out of business, so I've been freelancing for the last few years. If they are calling employment, how will they be able to check mine? The businesses are no longer in business and I've been making a few dollars here and there.
Dont sweat that. One of my employers from 2010-2011 outsourced and they were still able to verify it, thankfully! I was worried about that too!

Someone put together a great Interview/Process Timeline (based on people's experiences here) a few pages back. They showed for the BGC completion to offer call was generally within 2-5 business days. Congrats to your husband on getting the position. :)
I have a question is it a bad sign if they did not schedule a 3rd interview after the skype interview.

Hey xocinnyminnyxo,

Sorry to hear you didn't get offered a position after the third round. That happened to me last year as well but on my second interview - I didnt get moved to my third. it happens... just wait six months and start to apply again. I would critique your resume and if you need some help I'd be glad to offer my assistance with that. I just got done myself with my second interview and I'm moving onto the third round now.. so I quess when I get that email we'll see what happens.
